Army picks Black Hawk replacement - V-280
K5054NZ replied to HeavyArty's topic in Helicopter Modeling
I've wanted a model since the aircraft itself was first announced! -
Hi all, I'm posting this request on behalf of a friend: Does anyone have a FS # or a hobby paint match for the Interior of the Me 410 at Coford ? The color pictures in the WWP "In Detail Special no.1" It shows it as a bluesih/green definitely not the 02 in the wheelwells. I also seem to recall seeing a similiar color in a He 162 that was being restored by the French company [Memorial Flight] that did the Halberstadt. Any and all help will be most appreciated.

Thank you gents, I'm very grateful for your advice!

Hi all, A friend has gifted me the Revell boxing of the classic 1/72 AD-5/A-1E Skyraider and I'd like to model 52673 as included in the instructions (the same aircraft is an option in the Matchbiox 1/48 kit). In the Detail and Scale book it's stated none of the drop tanks are correct, so what do I need to a) replace the kit parts and 2) equip it for a mission? I'd like to use at least some of those chunky, moulded-on pylons! Thanks in advance!

Excellent progress!

Did you ever release the 1/72 version? -
Thank you, now I just need the rest of the airframe! π

Given AMP's increasing range of helicopter kits I've suggested a JetRanger in various scales to MikroMir, they have shown some interest however they have more pressing concerns right now. I for one would love 206Bs with high skids in 1/48 and 1/32.

Beautiful work CB, what a stunner!

I like it! I'm not familiar with that colour scheme, it's rather pleasing.

I hate to be "that guy" but there's an existing thread here. π

Italeri 1/72 TB-25J Mitchell - 1980s Australian warbird
K5054NZ replied to K5054NZ's topic in The Display Case
Thank you gents! ...although one of the team responsible for her importation to Australia pointed out a missing wing roundel! -
Hi all, This Mitchell, 44-86791, was restored in the USA in the early 1980s for an Australian group called Aero Heritage which had been searching for a B-25 to fly as a warbird to acknowledge the type's RAAF service. Ownership later passed to the Australian War Memorial which controversially sold the aircraft to the Yanks Air Museum at Chino, where it remains today. This is the old Italeri 1/72 Mitchell kit built basically out-of-the box with DK Decals for the RAAF markings, while the distinctive Esso tiger noseart was designed and printed for my by a friend in the UK. Thank you

A beautiful job Jay, and I love that you used Sam Shepard as the model for your Yeager figure. I really need to rewatch that movie...
