Sock Scheme? "What's that young Kiwi up to now?" I hear you ask. Well, one day last year my wife Sam was out shopping and happened upon a pair of socks with planes on that she thought I'd quite like: My first thought was "That looks like a Wildcat!" Second thought was "I wonder how it would look on a model..." Sam got me the 1/72 Airfix F4F-4 Wildcat model for Christmas here's the result. She loves it!

I did, and the build looks beautiful so far - no hint of the troubles you've had!

Airfix has announced a brand-new Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IXc kit in 1/24 scale, consisting of 433 parts! Box art: CAD: Markings options: With this and the previously announced Kotare Models 1/32 Mk.Ia I predict an expensive but happy year for Spitfire modellers!

She's looking gorgeous!

I had a blast building one of these (CAF Ghost Squadron boxing) as an 18yo, it was great fun and I too was impressed with the details. I'm excited to see yours progress!

And here I am, just wanting a state-of-the-art YF-12A in 1/72! Great pics and discussion, folks.

That comes through with your attention to detail - it's stirring my dormant desire to build one of my own! -

Steve, I checked on this thread early on when you were gathering info and as I didn't have anything to contribute. Now I see the fantastic work you're doing - the MFDs look incredible! - and I regret only coming back to it now. Great work! -

I'm sorry to hear you were so ill Dave, I'm glad to see you well enough to build. This is such a remarkable build and I can't say how excited I am to see it completed. -
I'm very, very curious! I have that book on my Must Read list.

Beautiful job on a rather little bird!

Beautiful work Chris, she looks fantastic! This only goes to show how much I need this kit (to do as 0059).
-
I hope you can get back into it as it's a stunningly-detailed model - I had to keep reminding myself it's a 1/72 kit, especially after seeing the wing fold detail.

The An-2 is just cool, and I'm glad to see this kit being built as it's been on my radar for a while. Thanks the the in-box review!

John Marlin was building a flyable MB5 lookalike based around a Mustang wing at Reno, it has the appearance of a somewhat compressed MB5. It has taxied on a few occasions but I've not heard anything of it other than being listed for sale in late 2019. Not my photo:

I am super excited for the 1/72 F-15 STOL/MTD set! Fantastic news! -
Hi folks, I'm doing a project that needs a prop from a 1/48 Beech Model 18 or C-45 Expeditor. I know ICM made one and Revell reboxed it so I tried the latter, unfortunately they have no stock of spares for the twin Beech. So I went to the source but ICM needs proof of purchase, and I have never owned this kit. All I need is one example of part D1: Can anyone here help?

Hi all, This kit was a birthday present to myself in August last year as I love P-40s, had liked the look of the Special Hobby kits, and am a sucker for RNZAF markings. The kit itself has lovely details and went together beautifully, the decals were well-behaved. The only issues I had were self-caused such as losing the correct canopy, and using a too-dark green for the top colour which somehow became even darker under Humbrol gloss. For various reasons I only added the finishing touches - painting the light lenses - today. But I want more of these kits. It was a delight and, as

They've said they're doing everything except the A6M1 and A6M8, including Rufes. Amazing!

Why Doesnt Hasegawa Re-Release the 1/48 A-4B/C/K/KU/N?????
K5054NZ replied to scorvi's topic in Jet Modeling
I can't help but be naive and ask: have you contacted Hasegawa to ask them why?
