  1. Hi guys For those of you that have this kit what are the paints used for the Hungarian scheme in either Mr Hobby or Vallejo. Thanks in advance
  2. White spirit all the way cheaper than the thinners which work well also.
  3. Second that on WEM RLM 71 not even close too dark and no demarcation when sprayed against the RLM 70
  4. From a UK point of view I have got 2 of the Airfix 109E's in the stash under both boxings and truth be told looking to by a third! I have the E4 version with the Galland markings and also has the Trop version, but love the options here and are torn between the Romanian machine and Condor Legion one hence the need for the third. The last kit cost me £11 or $16 in most of your guys cash. I have the Academy G6 and a going to buy the new K4 but I order that from Hong Kong as it's cheaper incl p&p. In the FW190 I have a crappy Fujmi effort from the 70's and an Italeri A5 Aces special edi
  5. After much research and changing my mind from Iwata to Harder & Steenbeck and back again finally made the decision and went for the Harder & Steenbeck Evolution Silverline butt spent a bit extra and went for the 2 in 1.
  6. Many thanks guys, After reading all your comments here and elsewhere, I'm looking at getting the H&S Evolution Silverline solo. I did toy with the Iwata from the States but on checking on the warranty situation regarding grey imports it wasn't worth it, (many thanks Cyrus Tan) and was loathe at paying typical over inflated UK prices. Now to find the best deal. Regards and thanks again
  7. Just been looking around today on the net, Iwata Revolution retails at £83 in the UK but I can get one shipped over from the US for £65 the cost of the brush being half the price!!!!!! Liked the reviews of the Permi Air also whereas the Neo is a bit mixed. May be an Iwata from the US after all.
  8. Many thanks for the replies so far guys. Phantomdriver many thanks for that link, I like the look of the Neo CN, cracking value and a 5 yr warranty to boot.
  9. Hi Guys, Looking at buying a new airbrush, been using a cheap ebay number for a number of years with varying results. I mainly use enamals as being UK based offer best options. Looking to speed around £100 or 150USD and have looked at Iwata Revolution or H&S? Any advice or recommendations? Regards
  10. Just about to finish an Argentine Super Etendard, bit of weathering and coat of satincote and the all important Exocet. Had to rescue it from my over enthustic 3 yo old son who wanted to help with the decaling!!!!! A bit too early for the Falklands Group Build.
  11. I bought one of these of an ebay seller in the UK. As already mention used it about twice horrible thing, trigger was very loose, inconsistant spraying plus I didn't like the fact it was siphon fed. Took it apart to clean it and within 10 mins of using it, it became blocked again. Better off saving your money and buy something decent to begin with.
  12. Guys many thanks for all the tips. Went and bought a can of Humbrol Matt White rattle and sprayed it on hopefully to finish the job of due to airbrush problems (another story). Disaster there was a reaction and the top surface cracked managed to sand it off and will now use the airbrush again. Strange reaction as they're both enamel paints.
  13. Cheers, Humbrol enamel thinned, didn't prime though and I think that's where the problem could've been. It's difficult to see what has been painted and what hasn't and this has led to few oversprays in some areas.
  14. As the title says. Having problems airbrushing seems to take lots of coats and even then can't get a consistant colour all over. Any advice welcome or is a spray can the best way to go for white?
