  1. This Hasegawa Weapons set has them: https://store.spruebrothers.com/product_p/has35011.htm
  2. I may wait until I hear your opinion, then. Although, one can never have enough Tomcats. 😄
  3. So, would it be complete heresy to model it gear up, wings back, and in-flight...considering all the detailing options, I feel like I would be shunned by the community. 🙂
  4. Has anyone got or built it up yet? I'm curious as to the accuracy. I've got the Finemolds 'Cat, but I'm wondering if the GWH version is accurate. Apparently the Finemolds front fuselage is too deep. And yes, I've got the Hasegawa, too...but the fit pains me. 🙂
  5. I was looking at those. Costs almost as much as the Hasegawa kit itself. 🙂 Luckily I think I can make the Fujimi parts work.
  6. Actually managed to find some Fujimi gear legs in my spares box! Nice build, by the way!
  7. Maybe I'll snag the gear from my Hasegawa Super Hornet. Should be the same. Edit: After a quick search, the main gear is NOT the same on the Super. Guess I'll be doing some fixing on the kit parts.
  8. Ok, I can kinda sorta see the issue. Nice work, by the way!
  9. Yeah, but which angle? 😄 Maybe I'll just go with an in-flight display. Because I WILL lose sleep. 😅
  10. I've seen other posts claiming that the Main Gear of the Academy Legacy Hornet is wonky. I haven't started it yet, but I can't tell what the issue is by looking at the sprue. Does anyone have a work-around (other than using another kit's parts)? What's the issue? Bad angle? Wrong shape? I'm looking at references, but it's hard to tell without actually gluing them on...and then it's too late. 🙂
  11. Hoping someone built the Tomcat and still has the pilots. I believe the A-6 had the same figures. The aftermarket stuff is okay, but these are exactly what I need.
  12. Not sure if it's okay to link to Shapeways in this Forum, so if not, I apologize and Mods feel free to delete. Here's something I designed for myself, but thought others might want to see. It's a conversion kit to turn the Heller/Airfix 1/72 Gazelle into the Blue Thunder helicopter. It will require advanced skills to finish. There's no interior or canopy glass. Some trimming of parts will be necessary. I haven't ordered it myself, so I can't post pictures of the finished product yet. But if anyone wants to take a stab at it, here it is: Blue Thunder Kit I forgot to add the sales pitch! Shapeways gave me a code for all first time users...15% off. Use this: II4D5
  13. I've decided to try and reshape the RV canopy as much as I can. Considering how difficult clear styrene is to work with, this may prove to be a disaster. If it turns out any good, I'll post pics. If I haven't lost my mind by then.
  14. Well, for the Zvezda BIS, the nose should taper slightly inwards (not the shock cone, but the fuselage intake area). The Zvezda fuselage sides are almost parallel. Once you see it, you CAN'T unsee it. :) After actually holding the kit in my hand, I can see it. As far as the MiG-15, I've been thinking about getting the HobbyBoss simply for the price. I built up their MiG-3 (completely redid the interior) and it turned out to be a great kit. I think the "easy" HobbyBoss kits are a nice addition to the hobby. Forget the haters. ;)
