  1. For the love of GOD there has to be some way of getting a pair of these. I'm tempted to do up a 3D model and have them printed, but I'm REALLY hoping someone out there has a resource. OR the Hasegawa boxing they are willing part with.
  2. Thanks, gents. I knew I could count on you guys.
  3. I've read on-line that the original Kinetic F/A-18C boxing has some errors. And I've read that later boxings corrected those errors. Apparently there were issues with the tails and the canopy? I just ordered this boxing: Does anyone know if it includes the nose/canopy corrections and the tail corrections? Or am I gonna have to get a different version to get the corrected parts?
  4. I just ordered the Tamiya 1/48 F-14A (Late) that has the "dirty" wings with the flaps and slats down. I want to build it "in flight" and looking for the clean set of wings that come with the other boxings. I'm willing to buy outright, or trade the dirty wings for the clean ones. I'm in the US.
  5. This Hasegawa Weapons set has them: https://store.spruebrothers.com/product_p/has35011.htm
  6. I may wait until I hear your opinion, then. Although, one can never have enough Tomcats. 😄
  7. So, would it be complete heresy to model it gear up, wings back, and in-flight...considering all the detailing options, I feel like I would be shunned by the community. 🙂
  8. Has anyone got or built it up yet? I'm curious as to the accuracy. I've got the Finemolds 'Cat, but I'm wondering if the GWH version is accurate. Apparently the Finemolds front fuselage is too deep. And yes, I've got the Hasegawa, too...but the fit pains me. 🙂
  9. I was looking at those. Costs almost as much as the Hasegawa kit itself. 🙂 Luckily I think I can make the Fujimi parts work.
  10. Actually managed to find some Fujimi gear legs in my spares box! Nice build, by the way!
  11. Maybe I'll snag the gear from my Hasegawa Super Hornet. Should be the same. Edit: After a quick search, the main gear is NOT the same on the Super. Guess I'll be doing some fixing on the kit parts.
  12. Ok, I can kinda sorta see the issue. Nice work, by the way!
  13. Yeah, but which angle? 😄 Maybe I'll just go with an in-flight display. Because I WILL lose sleep. 😅
  14. I've seen other posts claiming that the Main Gear of the Academy Legacy Hornet is wonky. I haven't started it yet, but I can't tell what the issue is by looking at the sprue. Does anyone have a work-around (other than using another kit's parts)? What's the issue? Bad angle? Wrong shape? I'm looking at references, but it's hard to tell without actually gluing them on...and then it's too late. 🙂
