  1. Well, I guess when talking about choppers, we can trust the man who lives in the neighbourhood! Interesting information. Where's the guy, who's the neighbour of the Su-32/34 plant!? :) Wherever it was situated, don't get that in to my head now...
  2. For the interior I happened to use Vallejo paints by mixing a bit of 841 (Andrea blue) to 966 (Turquoise) with the help of some photos from the net. About the exterior I have no clue if you wan't you use Vallejo paints.
  3. No source for the boxart, but have you seen or read the new book on Fouga Magister in the Finnish AF? Just curious, 'cause it seems to be a nice book for those interested in the subject...
  4. That's exactly what I mean. Most pictures seem to depict gray landing gear, though they should be light blue like the airframe. So what is this colour then?
  5. But what's the standard colour for undercarriage..?
  6. Obviously to a very great extent, as there isn't any new Su-34s in service yet to replace it.
  7. Painted by hand 'n brush method! Thanks for the decals, man!
  8. The "Sharkmouth of Dzemgi" is coming together slowly, but firmly... The photos are taken with a mobile phone camera, so the quality isn't what you might call pro. This is sort of a test. Colours seem a bit darker than in reality. Anyway, Hasegawa Su-27 is a great kit and a very decent model of the formidable Flanker. Decals are from Linden Hill (by courtesy of Joachim), paints from Humbrol. No aftermarket parts other than the decals, even the seat is an original white metal one with some modification and add-ons. PE parts used are from the kit. Thanks for all, who have been doing the Trumpe
  9. Talking about paint standards, what would be the "official" colour for Flanker's undercarriage? I'm sure it can be judged from the photos, but anyway. Gray something, but what exactly? This of course providing the Russians really have a standard - in which I believe together with Flankerman, who is rightfully fighting against prejudice.
  10. I sure hope so. There seems to be so much potential in the basic airframe of the Flanker that anything made out of it seems possible. If the Russians just would invest in it. The "Super Flanker" would sure be a leathal weapon! And I'm still waiting for a decent model of the above mentioned plane too. I constantly dream of Tamiya/Hasegawa kit...
  11. The Chinese seem to have a sense of humour after all! Great toilet, Ken!
  12. That eleven examples sounds right - but also very little for a large country with a lot of rather oldish equipment. I'm really hoping that more new Flankers will be introduced, including the beautiful Su-32/34. And even the Su-35, with or without canards. Not to mention the Blackjacks.
  13. Those two are very nice camos in deed!
  14. I was watching "Charlie's Angels II" (complete crap I must say...) from the TV and after seeing the angels flying with Kamov Ka-52 (Very cool with those combined!!), I begun to wonder, how many there actually is in the inventory of RusAF or the Red Army? Overall, can anyone say, what is the situation with, let's say Mi-28, Ka-50/52 and, most interestingly, with the new Flankers? I've read articles about the Su-32/34 taken in the service very soon or that the production is on the way. Has the RusAF any examples of the "Fullback" yet, when from the bort numbers one could count at least 6 units
  15. Finally saw the rest of the fotos. Great work!
  16. Not that I'm that interested on the subject... Just interesting to see!
  17. Pictures, please, Ken! I have to see the toilet of the mightiest warplane ever! I wish Italeri would have provided something behind the cockpit of the Su-34...
  18. What's the type of that missile by the way?
  19. Okay, just now saw the third picture. Looks REALLY good!
  20. Thanks for your replies, guys! No, I don't have to move the decal anymore. The placement is just perfect. I just would like to get it deeper into the louvres of the intake.
  21. I have used only Micro Set this far, as there hasn't been any need for stronger agents. My question is already in the topic title. I noticed that the decal (Linden Hill's sharkmouth on the Su-27's intake's side grill) probably wasn't set as I wanted it to set. I mean, it doesn't follow the contours of the grill's louvres as it should do. Problem is, I don't have Micro Sol at the moment, but I could buy it tomorrow and apply it then. Would it work anymore?
  22. You call that A BLIZZARD? Have seen worse living here in the north!
