As with any color on any object I guess... Therefor I think one should focus more on a realistic combination of painting/weathering/shading/etc, which so far looks really nice!!

Thanks guys! It's time for a small update I guess... I do not want to overload this jet with weaponry (which seems impossible with a fox2 only Phantom), and keep it somewhat realistic. Therefor picked a ACMI antenna from the Hasegawa weapons box and casted a travelpod (I think the original is from PP Aeroparts). Both still need some work, but just a quick snap o show some of the progress; The aftermarket wheels also need a little bit more attention (and holes!), but are close to be done; For the slimelights I will not be using any decals, but will use the Eduard PE. The weathering adds quit some years to this sub!! Amazing what weathering does to a kit!! Personally I think you've got a fair amount of rust on it, and as you say; if it fades after a coat being applied it might even be more realistic. I guess checking references helps in this case. Nice progress so far! Daniël

Hi, It's about time I finish this one; 1. 1/72 Hasegawa F-4E Phantom II into a Turkish F-4E/TM 2. 01 Mar 2013 3. Apr 2013, events in life.. 4. Add some detail, install flaps, slats, gear and get it painted! Sad thing to the story is that between starting this model and finishing it, TUAF has wfu this specific version of the gunnosed Phantom... Cheers, Daniël

I started this one for the "Phantom Addicts Anonymous GB" which ran March 1st 2013 - September 1st 2013, but for reasons I stranded halfway. This GB is a good motivator to get this one done though! I've thought about using this one for an other project, but since I like the decals so much, I'll press on and try to get it done as planned.
