  1. Are you looking for something specific?
  2. The price list for Muroc Models can be found here: http://www.edwardsflighttest.com/price_list.pdf
  3. Anything done by Muroc Models is great casting quality. Fine panel line detail, excellent fit and rarely do you see a bubble in any of their castings. You won't be disappointed in any of their kits or conversions. Tony
  4. I was going through my files the other day when I came across this old Lockheed proposal for the F-104 Dogfighter. It looks like this was Lockheed's answer to the F-20. The full report is here: http://www.edwardsflighttest.com/pics/F-104-Dogfighter.pdf Tony
  5. Just finished up the Kiwi Resins 1/48th scale Lockheed D-21B Mach 3+ drone. In addition to the mods done to the kit, it's sitting on a scratch built rocket booster and custom base. It sure is an impressive display. (and no, I have no plans to build a 1/48th scale B-52H to hang it from...) Tony
  6. You can always do the earlier NACA scheme before the red was applied...
  7. CollectAire did the 'Screech' in 1/48th scale, though those are tough to find these days. Anigrand did it in 1/72 and it's still listed on their site here: http://www.anigrand.com/AA2059_XF-84H.htm . There are probably some vac kits out there as well. The Aerofax F-84 Swept Wing Variants book covered the H a bit as did the Experimental Fighters books by Jenkins & Landis. Otherwise it's pretty slim pickings out there.
  8. Thanks, it was a fun little kit. Looking forward to their next releases of X-43 Hyper-X, X-48 BWB, X-33 and more.
  9. Just finished up the Jett Models 1/72 X-40. Nice kit, but very small at around 3 1/2 inches long. I'm looking forward to seeing more X-plane kits from these guys soon. Tony
  10. I've managed to test shot the 1/48 D-21 drone, the lighting means the detail hasn't shown up so well in this pic. The D-21 is the correct length, engraved detail, and open Q bay with camera pallet separate. This is the biggest chunk of resin I have ever cast. Kiwi Resin Models http://www.kiwiresin.com/
  11. The X-4 was never painted orange with black stripes. It made initial taxi tests unpainted, performed first flights in overall light gray, later red stripes were added with the gray before they were painted overall white.
  12. This is the Project Tagboard version (Senior Bowl version coming) , and at last I have finished..almost. There is a little more engraving to do, and some to repair. Its not perfect I have to say, but it is pretty good. The Q bay is separate, and to fit it flush will require a little filing to adjust the fit. Kiwi Resin Models http://www.kiwiresin.com/
  13. You can't see much looking through the glass. It's too small of an area with too much glare. Here are two others that might help. You can see the windshield defrost vent in this view: And in case you wonder what the underside looks like: Tony
  14. It looks like this. Note the retractable glare 'splitter' in the center. Tony
  15. Looks like the pattern is similar to this: Hope that helps a little. Tony
  16. All you see is a lot of instrumentation and support equipment. Here are a couple shots I took back in 2001. Looking forward: Looking aft: Hope that helps. Tony
  17. Does anyone have a spare D-21 kit from any manufacturer they would like to sell cheap? I don't need the SR-71, just the D-21 and a cart if it comes with one. Thanks, Tony email- Tony (at) edwardsflighttest (dot) com
  18. A friend just gave me a map case removed from a USAF aircraft and I'm having some trouble figuring out what it was removed from. The only identifying marks are the part number, inspection stamp and 'A/C 6640' painted inside. The box measures roughly around 10 x 12 x 5". Anybody out there know what it might be from? Here are a couple photos: Thanks, Tony
  19. It's not much, but it's all I have.... Just a typical day at Muroc AAF... Graphics for the markings... Hope that helps, Tony
