  1. OK, you asked for it. Here's a selection of LLRV that will hopefully be of use to you.
  2. Do you know which configuration you'll be modeling? The unveiling version as shown in your B/W photo (which never flew), the early version: The partially enclosed cockpit version: or the fully enclosed cockpit version: It'll be easier to assist you with the details once I know what you're going for. Tony
  3. Easy enough, well except for a good top view. Here are a few from the files that should help. Just ask if you need anything else.
  4. What reference material do you need? Just ask, maybe we can help.
  5. The exhaust cone does appear to have changed sometime in late 1965 or early 1966. Here's a comparison between a 1964 pic and a 1966 pic:
  6. One of the only books out there on the LLRV is a NASA publication that can be found here: http://www.hq.nasa.gov/alsj/alsj-LLRV.html
  7. I have a few eggs I can share... Tony

  9. Henry, Feel free to use anything I have posted. That's what it's there for.
  10. Hi HM, welcome to ARC!! I'm sure you'll find plenty of help on future projects from the folks here. I can tell you that there are no still photos of the X-1E in flight, only 16mm motion picture footage and there isn't much of that. Only a handful of color photos as well since the NACA HSFS wasn't using color film very often before the mid-1960's. There's a build thread going on right now in the group build section, some photos have been posted: http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index.php?showtopic=273453 Look forward to seeing the new e-books. Tony
  11. The latest projects to leave the work bench are a couple of Hagegawa eggs. The first is the YF-16 CCV made from the F-16 T-birds kit. and next up is an XV-6 Kestrel made from the AV-8 Harrier. I created all the custom graphics and had the decals printed on an Alps. Those were fun, but I guess I should get back to building 'real' models now. Tony
  12. Or you can add your vote for Revell Germany to release one here: http://ideas.revell.de/ideas/item/130/
  13. Cool project, I have this one on my to-do list as well. Here are some reference photos taken around the time of the last flight in Nov. 1958 to help you out. Overall views: The tail 'bumper' between the ventral fins to prevent over rotation on landing: Instrumentation probe on nose and dual nose gear doors: Nose gear and dual nose gear doors: Exhaust expansion nozzles: Cockpit overall view: and for cockpit color reference: Looking forward to watching your progress. Tony
  14. How about the first ones of the series... or some cool concept art... Tony
  15. Cool project. Here are a few more shots to help keep you motivated.
  16. Does anyone know if this was ever made available for purchase? I've checked the web and the best info came from an old ARC thread about its 'release' but no mention of where to buy one. Thanks, Tony
  17. Was this kit ever made available for purchase? I've checked the web but can't seem to find it anywhere.
  18. Yep, there's a wire.
  19. All ya gotta do is ask.... Hope that helps. Tony
