  1. I've got one at home. I can scan them in tonight. PM me your email address.
  2. As a decal manufacturer, I try to avoid publicly critiquing other manufacturer's offerings, mainly because I know my own products can and will have errors sneak past not only me, but my partners in crime from time to time. Having said that, I've got a couple of Print Scale sheets, and the research and quality seems to be well done, but some extra proofreading of the art might help take their product to the next level. I'm pleased with what I've gotten every time, with one notable exception - their A3D Skywarrior sheet in 1/72, and that only for the aircraft type and BuNo markings. Skywarriors

  4. Attack Squadron makes absolutely gorgeous refueling pods, sponson corrections, nacelle corrections and a very, very nice flap set for the Italeri kit. I've got a copy or 3 of all their C-130 1/72 stuff, and it's well worth the very affordable price. Scott Zuieback (rebelalpha on eBay) carries their stuff in the USA.
  5. Having been a Mac user since they first came out, I can tell you that in my experience, if the program you need/want isn't available in a Mac version, then there's probably a different, equivalent, Mac program that'll read/write your files just fine. Since Macs are now Intel-based, there's several options for when you absolutely must run Windows or a Windows program. My preference is to use VMWare fusion to run Windows as a virtual machine, in "Unity" mode. This basically hides the windows desktop, and allows you to launch Windows applications from the dock, just like you would a Mac, and most
  6. Fights On and Vagabond are separate entities now. (albeit still colluding on decals) Fights On sheets are available exclusively at Sprue Brothers and Hannants, now. I just sent a huge shipment to Sprue Brothers (basically all of the decals, except what I need for the local shows and my own stash), which they should get on Monday.
  7. Andrew, Much like Ken, I'd agree that it's a bit of a sticky situation. The seller has, IMO, most likely committed copyright violation of your photo - he printed it out with the intent to sell it. The fact that one of the Pearl Harbor survivors signed it is immaterial. I would contact the seller and advise him that you're the copyright holder of the photograph in question, and that his auctioning off a print for profit is a violation of copyright law. Instead of immediately demanding it be removed from eBay, though, offer to let him continue the auction, just this once, under the f
  8. While it's been tried before, doing this is rather frowned upon by the printing companies. I know Microscale told me flat out "thou shalt not!" when we tried it one time, and charged me as if they were 2 separate sheets, instead of one larger sheet. When Microscale, Cartograf, etc. look the files over to make sure there won't be any issues with their presses, they see that it's an obvious double release being attempted.
  9. At least for the time being, Fights On is sticking to adversary/aggressor aircraft, and Vagabond will be sticking to our usual eclectic choices. We've got several sheets that were delayed by all the issues we had with Becky's pregnancy and loss of Charlotte - Bicentennial T-38's, ANG C-130's (drawn up since July, was going to be in the rotation for December, but we all know how the holidays went around here...), more Phantoms, some Crusaders, Tomcats, fleet Skyhawks, and maybe, just maybe, something for the P-3 Orion crowd. Fast jets are fun, but they're not the only kits out there.
  10. Perhaps not, but there are a LOT of 1/72 guys who do complain about how their prices should be lower because their kits are smaller. I hear this at least half a dozen times at every show I vend at, and I'm only a few hours north of you in DFW. That, and the ever-popular "why don't you do decals for XYZ... you'll sell a million copies of it!!!" (usually as I'm noticing that the ONLY example of that aircraft in the show was brought by the person I'm talking to) are the 2 more frequent interactions I have with customers outside of the actual sales process. Don't get me wrong, I love the passion
  11. I would LOVE to be able to print more 1/72 decals. I know Kursad has had success with his 1/72 decals, and I'm glad to see ALL of the decal companies doing fairly well right now. The trick with 1/72 vs. 1/48 is that 1/72 modelers tend to think along the lines of "oh, my kits are smaller and cheaper, so the decals should cost less..." I know this, because before Brian M. and I started Vagabond, I thought it, too. Cartograf, Microscale, Canuck, etc. all charge not by the size of the markings, but mainly by the number of colors on a sheet, with size of the sheet playing a factor, as well. Assumi
  12. Believe me, it's something we want to get out the door, as well. As part of our decision to continue working together, even as separate companies, Mike P. has agreed to redraw the VF-111 sheet, and is currently working on it, in fact. If things go as planned, Vagabond will be releasing multiple sheets over the summer, including (hopefully) VF-111 and VF-92 and our own C-130 sheet. Also, if my vacation schedule gets approved for the summer, Vagabond will be at the IPMS Nationals this year, in Omaha.
  13. To all our valued customers, we have exciting news regarding the futures of Fights On Decals and Vagabond Decals! First off, Mike Pister has been given an incredible opportunity to expand the Fights On brand, so effective April 1, Fights On Decals will be spinning off from Vagabond Decals. When we first launched the Fights On brand, Mike and I always intended for him to spin it off into its own entity, and with this opportunity, he'll be able to do so much quicker than we'd thought. It's been a genuine pleasure working with Mike on the A-4 Adversary sheets, and we both intend to work together
  14. Scott's decision making was sound in choosing his most popular sheet for scaling down, and drawing new art just for a "test" sheet makes zero sense as well. I think the biggest problem Afterburner had in selling their sheets was the fact that there wasn't any buzz about them or any buzz about the available kits at the time. All of the Afterburner fans were by that time 1/48 builders, so the loyal customers that any decal business counts on weren't there for the sheet to succeed. Yes, the schemes are a bit "blah," but those were the current schemes at the time. The splinter jets that everyone'

Quick bump here. Right now, this is tentatively planned for a NATS release. With all the trials and tribulations we've been dealing with the last several months, getting releases out the door seems to have fallen by the wayside. IF I can get the time off, Vagabond Decals will be at the Omaha NATS this summer!
  16. Not only did he take a big hit when he did it, he did it based of their best-selling 1/48 sheet, ever, and it flat didn't move. I'm a 1/72 builder, and I barely do 1/72 stuff on our combo sheets because one bad sheet could seriously hurt my business.
  17. Hey Shawn, I haven't forgotten about you. I've been busy the last couple of weeks helping the kids get caught up on all the homework and schoolwork they missed while out with Charlotte's birth and death. Rough few weeks, but we're getting back into the groove as best we can. Shoot me an email when you get the chance, though. Need to ask you something off board.
  18. Hi Mike, Great news! Are you going to be at ScaleFest this year?
  19. I might throw something together in a few weeks, once we get everything settled from Charlotte.
  20. ARC Family, Words can never express how much your sympathy and support have meant to Becky and the kids and I. We've decided to have a small memorial and visitation here in the DFW area this Friday evening, and then take our angel to Huntsville, AL on Monday, to lay her to rest beside her brother, Henry, whom we lost to stillbirth back in 2013. A few of you have asked about sending flowers or assisting with our funeral costs for her, and we are very, very touched by your offers. We'd ask, in lieu of flowers, that you donate to CJ First Candle, a SIDS-research charity i
  21. Everyone, Thank you. We have a long, difficult road ahead of us for a few weeks, and your prayers, thoughts and wishes are greatly appreciated. Charlotte was only with us for a few days, but they were the best days we ever had. Now Becky and I have the dreadful task of making funeral arrangements for a newborn, and it's almost more than either of us can bear to do. We miss you, baby girl! We love you!
  22. ARC family, I know you've been following the shipping delays we had due to placement guides and my wife's pregnancy, and quite a few of you saw my announcement earlier this week that our baby girl had been born. This morning, I type the hardest thing I've ever had to say. Our baby girl, miss Charlotte Winifred Hazlewood, left us this morning due to suspected SIDS. Literally, one minute she was sleeping in her crib, making gentle baby noises and doing the little wiggles that infants do when they sleep, and 5 minutes later, she wasn't breathing. Charlotte Winifred Hazlewo
  23. 5 pounds, 12 ounces! Mommy and baby are doing awesome. I'll post a pic or 2 when I get home.
  24. Everyone, just to let you know, effective immediately, I'm suspending shipping for 2 weeks, as my wife and I are going to be welcoming our new baby girl into the world tonight! If you're the prayer type, your prayers are most appreciated. If you're not, then your good vibes and thoughts are, too. This pregnancy, as most of you know, has been touch and go the whole time. But we're assured by the doctors that baby is doing well, and should join us, healthy and happy fairly soon.
  25. BIG update: As of today EVERY order is shipped, including distributor restocks. If you don't have tracking information for your order, please send me an email and I'll forward that information to you. My wife is 35 weeks along today, and her doctors informed us that because of the health issues she's experienced during this pregnancy (see above), they'll be inducing her in 2 weeks, unless she goes into labor beforehand. What this means is that any orders that come in after this coming Sunday evening, 01/22/17, will be delayed in shipping until the 4th of February, depending o
