  5. Edit..hmm..looks like the ship builders have as many issues as the aircraft modelers. I did a quick google and came up with a few discussions.
  6. From what I have read, they are good brushes. As always your results will depend on you. Learning the brush, type of paints used, thinning/air ratios etc. You know the drill. Any chance of testing one out for fit in your hand before you buy? Here is a link to the list of dealers. Grex
  7. Posted as an example. Same fellow looks to have done Parafilm and foil vids as well. If you have a test mule kit(kit that did not make it) practice on that canopy. If not, look for a partially started kit at the LHS.
  8. Found this list, but I am unsure as to how complete it is: Helis
  9. Andrew White posted this link on Hyperscale. She is flying in the USA. Hamilton is very lucky KA114 Test Flight How tall are those trees?? Or is it the angle? hmm.
  10. Very nice work. I am looking forward to seeing more of this build.
  11. Found this: Decibel chart 88db is close to the sound rating for a lawnmower. Not something that I could work with, but we all tolerate noise/sound differently. Put the think in a different room and run hoses to your paint area? Or how about this as an example?? Pancake compressor
  12. Yes, it is a car commercial, but I found it funny. The Challenge
  13. Well, here is a recent thread. Best Tomcat in 1/48 Looks like the 1/48 still has the intake issues of the 1/32nd. A shame really, as they had a chance to knock one out of the park. Will it still build into a nice looking kit? I believe so. JesniF-16 build Edit here is another: VF-103
  14. I got my hands on the Ultracast 5 spoke resin set, and decided to see if it would fit with the Eduard U/C. There are 2 issues. 1) The Eduard U/C axle is thinner than the mounting hole on the hub of the Ultracast unit. I am thinking that it may be possible to make up the difference with Evergreen hollow rod. See this picture: Ultracast 5 spoke 2) The other issue is a bit more troublesome. The Eduard Axle has a spacer/plate on it which sits flush in part 35. This will not allow the Eduard axle to sit flush in the Ultracast hub. Sand the spacer/plate on the Eduard axle down so the axle s
  15. Thanks for the heads up. I contacted Eric, and he feels that he should still be able to ship small lots. His packaging is fantastic and I've never had a problem. SealModel
  16. Special effects extravaganza I think that it will visually great if nothing else. Yeah I grew up with all the old giant robot cartoons.
  17. Congrats on the new ride. Looks nice. All the best to you and much success in the new career.
  18. A friend of mine would like to build one of these, and asked for some help tracking down some aftermarket. So far, I found not too much. I was hoping that there was a vacform canopy? Unless I missed it? Wheel hubs: Found these: F8F Look like the kit ones to me.. but, when I look here: Aircraft S seems to have different hubs than the hubs on aircraft N. Were both used? And finally anyone got the set of Spada 1/32 decals that they may be willing to part with??? Thanks in advance.
  19. Sorry if this has been posted: this is LOUD. Turn your speakers down..practically blasted my ears off.
  20. Informative, thanks for posting. To me the inverted vs upright ejection result was a surprise. Edit for typo...sigh
  21. Well, if you just want a flat surface, you can get this, and supply your own wood. HD Lazy Susan bracket doohicky Or for bit more.. from Ikea.. Ikea
  22. The Zactoman Sidewinders really are works of art. Highly recommended.
  23. Well, as much as it pains me, I do not feel that a jet fighter is whats needed to protect our natural resources...errr sovereignty especially in the arctic/north. And to me, this is more about mineral/oil rights/exploration in the arctic, which looks to be one of the main concerns for the Canadian Government. I'd rather risk long range drones instead of a pilot or a long range patrol aircraft with multiple crew members any day and always. Now, the Canadian public needs to decide if they want to have a 1st day/kick off capable strike aircraft...or do we want to the armed forces to come in aft
