Does anyone know what SuperScale Sheet did the Panther "Vice Versa". It was from VF-111 and looked like the infamous Blue Tail Fly but with blue and silver reversed; ie, silver tail and blue fuse. Probably not available anymore, according to my searching but if anyone has the sheet willing to sell or could provide a scan at 600 dpi or better I would appreciate it. Thanks

Need advice on Orlando as a holiday destination.

From Orlando, Pensacola is only 7 hours away. I have made the trip many times without speeding and stopped along the way. Its really worth it if you are not going to be in this part of the country for a long time once your vacation is over. The museum is really worth the visit, they have added a second hanger. Aaron -

If you like BBQ you HAVE to go to Four Rivers BBQ off of I4. Best BBQ in Orlando in my opinion. Also dont forget Warbird Adventures, they are the ones with the museum. Tell John Sausedo, one of the pilots there, you know me(Aaron Malone), he might get you in for free! Its south of 192 on Hoagland Blvd. on the left (if you are driving south on Hoagland). Have a blast! Aaron -
Anyone have any experience with casting clear resin for light covers instead of using clear parts in kit? Any tips to pass on? Thanks Aaron

Can anyone tell me the RGB or CMYK values for Penske Yellow? Yes, the truck color :) Does anyone have a close match? Thanks!

jbrundt, I am hiring it to be done, havent decided on a mold maker yet. Just got tired of not having either accurate kits of the SNJ/T6 and lack of subject in regard to a Texan II or possibly a T-34C Turbo Mentor. Talking with the "money guys" as you read this.
-
Which aircraft would you like to see produced; 1) 1/32nd scale North American T6/SNJ Texan (radial) OR 2) 1/48th scale Raytheon/Beechcraft T6 Texan II turboprop

The planes pictured are SNJ-6's(AT-6F's). The T-6G has a straight bottom canopy. You are correct in stating that there are no correct canopy combo's in any available kit to do the SNJ-6 correctly. One would have to use an Occidental Harvard canopy rear section as it has the correct shape, but would have to sand off the extra framing and use the big panes from a Harvard 4 (the top panes are wrong in the Monogram kit as well) and alter Monogram fuse; OR use the Occidental Kit and alter a few things; either way its work. :( As it doesnt appear anyone is going to come out with a correct SNJ/

Hey guys, Just wondering what kind of interest there might be for decals for the Warbird Adventures SNJ's. There would be enough decals on this sheet to do the four airplanes completely. So if a sheet were to be purchased you wouldnt have to worry about which one to do as they all would be covered, four in all. Two schemes for number 2(Marines), one Navy(Number 1), and one USAF(Number 4). They would be 1/48th scale. The decal bands have been color matched by using the actual aircraft paint as color chips, so you couldnt get any closer unless you painted them with the actual paint. :) If i

Perhaps you can contact the company and have them send you a set. Thats worked for me in the past.

I'd be up for one. A pilot friend of mine just bought a real MIG21 UM. I can guarantee you the paint scheme will be different. It was a former East German Air Force bird. Waiting on the ejection seats to get re-rocketed and inspections done to declare airworthiness.

Hi guys, I am needing the YellowHammer Decal sheet YHD48040 for Panthers. I am wanting to do the grey and white one with the red stripes. Anyone have one they want to sell or trade? Already tried ebay, no joy. Aaron

Thanks guys, Its rare to see a bird before restoration like that. That helps tremendously! Aaron

I know the wing dive brake interiors were painted red, but what color was the center dive brake interior painted? Ive seen white, but that was on a restoration so not sure. 1. Could the wing dive brakes be opened and closed independant of the center one? 2. When parked were the wing and center dive brakes closed or open? Thanks Aaron

PM Sent thanks! Aaron

Thanks, Thats the first site I checked, they have AP29 but not AP30. I realize they are close but unfortunately, I need the sheet I mentioned as it has the correct decal placement and paint scheme. Thanks. Aaron

Hi, I am needing a scan of an instruction sheet for Hasegawa's 1/72nd Dauntless Kit # AP30 if someone could oblige. Thanks very much. Aaron

Greenshirt, Upon some more research http://www.tailhook.org/Barin.htm I found that Barin did conduct torpedo training! See above link. Aaron

I actually got this photo from the pilot who says the pic was taken in 44. Granted that was a long time ago. He has a ton of them on Webshots. I have noticed in a lot of the over 120 photos I have from the Naval Museum Archives that when comparing the time period when the photo was taken; to the directive at the time sometimes they didnt match up, quite a lot of the time actually, so Im not sure anyone can really say with 100% assurance. Take for example this photo below taken Dec 29, 1943 at Barin Field. Notice the insignia. Im sure it would have taken some time to repaint all of them so

Can anyone tell me if the cowl is white/yellow? On page 89 and 101 of Dan Hagedorns book, "North American's T-6" there is a picture of AT-6A's from Foster Field TX that says they had yellow cowls. Of course the pic is B/W but seems to match the one I posted below? It looks like only a quarter of the cowl is painted white and half of the glare panel that extends onto the cowl (black). The rest of the cowl appears natural metal like the rest of the plane. The pic was taken in 1944 around Barin Field (close to Pensacola). Also the lights on wings look like they have had a shutter put on them

I had my Monogram Book so handy so I have sent you a pm/email with some info. Hope it helps. Aaron
