    SNJ Build

Progress is slow this week. Going to the airport tomorrow where there are to be 16 T-6's, 4 T-28's and a couple of Mustangs for a formation flying event. Here are the seat belts. Not realizing there is only one per pack, I'm awaiting a second pack from Eduard for the rear seat! Doh! Seat belts I have yet to add one more piece to one of the lap belts, just got in a hurry before wife got home ;). Aaron

    SNJ Build

Here's more progress although slow. Fuse Framing Test Fuse Framing 2 Test IP Rear IP Front IP Black Paint added IP Black Paint added Small areas need touched up on IP's, will do after color switches are on etc. On real plane the top rails are black as well as middle tubing between seats. I have drilled a couple of lightening holes per the rear bulkhead on the real plane and put a .001 "cover" on the top of the bulkhead to represent the way the real one looks. I went out today and took a few more pics. Thanks John for letting me sit in the B-25! RCAF 100, I have posted s

    SNJ Build

Hi guys, Thought I would try my hand at a build sequence for the T-6/SNJ 48th Scale. I took a trip to a local museum and spoke with a pilot who flies the SNJ Im modeling. He let me crawl in the cockpit and take a look around. Great guy! Going to build this for the museum. Love those radials! Of course custom paint and custom homemade decals will be the norm on this one. Here goes! Here is the subject! and yours truly; Onto the build; Everything laid out in my homebuilt spraybooth.

    roundel colour

What is the offical color of the center dot in the RAF Roundel Type A. It is off of a Spitfire Mk. II underside wing. The top roundel has the same color within a blue circle. It appears "rusty" red, not insignia red etc. Is this color available as a standard color ie, out of the bottle paint? Thanks. Aaron
  14. Ron, Thanks, I saw those and in fact have the sheet, I should have mentioned mine is already painted the green and brown so that sheet wont work. Sorry! Aaron
  15. Anyone know of aftermarket decals for a Mk. I or II. I am building the Revell 32nd scale bird. The kit decals are trash and broke apart in water. I then tried to salvage remaining by microscale decal film but they were so fragile they cracked going over humps and bumps on wing bottom rendering the whole sheet unusable. Tried to contact revell about replacements but no dice so far. Any aftermarket ones out there, Ive searched a few places but most seem to be for later birds. Thanks.
  16. Hey there, Does anyone have a scan of the canopy masks(Eduard) for this bird. Its not available anymore from what I can see. jamalone"at"cfl"dot"rr"dot"com
  17. Heres my pup, Lizzie. Short for Queen Elizabeth. Taken when she was around 2. Registered Yorkie was given to us as family had 6 kids and didnt have time for her. She is quite the character. Sleeps like a sloth, she is really long. Not too happy. Frisbee around her neck.

    P47D 32nd Scale

This is my first attempt at preshading, freehand airbrush, panel line shading, and homemade decals, whew! Fictional bird from the 56th. You cant see it but there is a bar under the A on the fuse, so Grabreski fans dont have a cow, remember its a fictional bird. MM enamels and future for decals. Topped with a coat of MM Acryl semi gloss. Guns made from tubing. Aerial is now on and no yellow tips on prop yet, got in a hurry. Will fix later. Thanks for looking. Enjoy.

  22. Thanks guys, a friend donated it to me. It came with no extra resin seats or anything so I may be out of luck for use anyway, unless I can find a partial.
  23. Can anyone tell me what this cockpit is to? I believe its 32nd scale because its huge, 3.25 inches long and 1.25 inches wide. Thank you very much.
  24. Thanks for the reply. I was afraid of that. Aaron
