  1. As far as appearance goes, the 727-200 is my favorite airliner. Love these!
  2. Looking forward to progress on this project.
  3. I might add that I used the Delta livery on my kit to help hide the missing crease between the fuselage lobes.
  4. It's been quite some time since I built that Delta 737. I really can't remember any specific measurements. In my opinion, there is nothing that can make the kit look good. I modified my kit because of lack of other options. Today, I wouldn't even try.
  5. I know why they do it, but a 3 bladed prop looks unnatural on a JU-52. I agree, the kit is very nice...so is your model!
  6. I hardly know where to begin. I tried to accurize the nose area, lengthened the fuselage (the model is kind of a -100), changed the wing tips, moved the vertical stabilizer a bit forward, added parts to the engines for more of a -200 look, modified the wing root area (which still isn't quite right), added landing gear bays, etc. You get the idea...the model is kind of rough. Since the picture was taken I added aerials and other protuberances. I would not do this again. As I said, an older build, before the latest Delta livery. When I built this, Delta was still serving KCMH with this plane. No
  7. This is an older effort. It's the Monogram (Aurora) 1/72 kit. I fixed as much as I could...
  8. Nazca was able to resize the Continental decals. Not only did they resize them, they were modified to fit the Hobbycraft Dash-8 (-100?), when the decals were made for the Q-400. They look great, and I'm impressed. Thanks, Nazca, and thanks for the suggestion to ask them for this custom work.
  9. V1 is "retooling" the 1/72 Dash 8 Jazz decals so they will specifically fit the Hobbycraft Dash 8. They will offer all colors, so I think I'll wait until V1 is ready, and use the Green Jazz livery. V1's tail "leaf" is more accurate than Hobbycrafts'. As to your offer, I greatly appreciate your response and offer, but I'm hooked on the idea of Green Jazz, thanks to V1.
  10. I'll do that. Thanks for the info! -Tom
  11. (img)http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v625/Repstock/Holding%20folder/connectionfinal.jpg[/img] How about Continental Connection? If anyone has a Continental decal set, I have given the needed dimensions of the "meatball" for a 1/72 Dash 8. If you find a set close to these dimensions (not to 4 decimal places, obviously) let me know so I know which set to buy. I also have the dimensions for "Continental". Maybe a 1/200 set has this size? I'm leaning more toward Continental because it will be different.
  12. Does anyone know if the aftermarket produces Jazz decals for the 1/72 Dash 8? Failing that, does anyone have a set they can part with? I don't expect these for free, contact me to work out details. cmhjets@hotmail.com
  13. Decals were drawn in AutoCad, and printed with either ALPS or inkjet printer.
  14. You're right, it's a -200. It's been so long since I built it I forgot the kit is not a -200. I use plexiglas for the cockpit windows, including the eyebrows. It's easy to polish it out and regain the transparency lost from the fogging that goes with super gluing the parts together. I made the Aurora DC-9 into an MD-80. Now that the multi media kit is coming, I won't have to do it again!(For other liveries)
  15. This is the best I could do with it, and I had to change a lot of things, beginning with stretching the fuselage!
