Yeah the C-5 was still up there, thanks for the link that is one good lookin prowler!
-
I was driving around NAS Whidbey today and parked in front of vaq-133's building I saw a 3 stage desert camo paint job on one of the prowlers. Does anyone have a pic of this plane? I wanted to stop and take a look but pulling the delivery truck over and trying to take a picture of the flightline probably wouldnt be the best idea.By far the best looking Prowler I have ever seen.

Whats with these guys? Throwing a twin tail onto single tail designs doesnt give you twice the performance. That is an urban legend just like pop rocks and Pepsi.

A precision strike against looters? :)
-
Without a backseater who would a pilot team up with to play beach volleyball against his archnemisis? And have your back in situations like this?
-
Isnt the prowler kinda like the family truckster from "vacation"?
-
Love the samurai on the tail. Thanks for the pic.

Oh geez you had to reference washington law enforcement and their fine track record on high speed pursuits didnt ya?

I think we hit every requirement for a banned thread, we have Rhino vs Tomcat, mention of a tweet, a Cobra manuver and let me put the capper on it by mentioning the word "flaps"

The usual on the island at work, P-3s, Prowlers, a herc and an out of the ordinary C-17 with McChord tail markings came in.

Ok we sent an F-15 over for the show how about a little love Russia? An Su-27 stateside at an airshow would be nice huh?

Yes, when they had their big military exercises awhile ago they showed phantoms flying. I read once that when the Shah bought the phantoms he also ordered an unbelievable amount of spare parts for the number of planes purchased, whether this is true or not I have no idea.
