  1. Hello everyone. I`m finally done with the Rhino. Japanese birds don`t use slatted wings on their F-4E, so i used the Revell/Monogram MiG Killer Fuselage and nose combined with the RF-4C Recon Bird hard wing and unslotted stabilators. The decals came from CAM 32-132 Far East Phantoms, 1/48 and 1/72 available. The seats are resin, i can`t remember who made them, TAC Scale maybe. The rest of the kit was built OOB, even the very basic cockpit used with no additions. I understand there are a few inaccuracies with the kit, but i`m choosing more and more to build OOB( decals and paint the exceptions
  2. I can try, but i`m not sure if the limitation is me or the camera
  3. Hello James A. The CAM decals seem to be on scale. I thought the Eagle and/or the tail serials were too large, but after checking my references(Koku-Fan, online sources) the problem was the person(me) didn`t check the references 1st. I should have moved the Eagle back more. If you look at the placement sheet they give, the markings are oversize. Micro set and sol did their usual magic. Wing Nut, yes the Kit does use recessed panel lines. The cockpit is basic, but the kit itself is OK. I have a 1/32 Slat wing Turkish Rhino planned, already have the CAM sheet(thanks KursadA). Thanks Don
  4. This is my Thud from Trumpeter. I used the Wraparound Thud sheet from Two Bobs. Kit was finicky to build, didn`t use the moveable features, just glued control surfaces in candid positions. Black Box cockpit needed careful sanding and checking to fit (basic model skills needed) and Aeroclub legs. The legs needed quite a bit of file work,i understand there are better legs available. Most major stuff fitted OK, didn`t use any weapons(they are headed to Australia).
  5. Oops, these should be in the In Progress forum
  6. Almost done with this . Basically out of box with CAM markings.
  7. Psssst, Erwin. I think you mean Maple leafs

  10. Hello everyone, My Aztek packed it in again, and i`m going to dust off my old Badger 200. The problem i have is , i can`t remember which tip goes with which needle ( been a while since i used it) . I think they match up this way. The "L" tip goes with the needle with three grooves, the "IL"tip goes with the needle with two grooves, the "F" tip goes with the needle with one groove. Is this right? Thanks for any help offered, i want to continue my weekend modelling session ( rare time lately)
  11. Go to a auto repair facility where they install and balance tires. Ask them for some scrap lead wheel balance weights. They come in different weight sizes, and a handful should last a while. Use epoxy or CA to install in your model. I have six big pails of the weights at work, and the occasional model boater or aircraft builder asks for some.
  12. Hello everyone, i`m starting on my 1/32 F-105D using the Black Box cockpit. Should i clean or prime resin parts with any specific procedures, or can i prep and paint like styrene parts? I use acrylic paints exclusively. Thanks for any advice. Don
  13. Hello Bill, if you are going to repaint with acrylic paint, maybe you should look at the Model Master Acryl line. They have the FS number colours for the `Nam scheme. You Need 30219 Tan,34079and 34102 for the two greens. 36622 gives you the bottom grey. HTH Don Hamade
  14. Hello Bill, instead of painting the sprue black, use black sprue. Depending how thin the sprue antenna is, you may not see a colour as long as the sprue is dark. Don Hamade
  15. Hello everyone. In the past year i have had the good fortune to deal with a great many modellers from ARC. All transactions with each were completely satisfactory, and i wouldn`t hesitate to either deal with them or recommend them. Here is my list of great people to deal with. Dave Fassett Steve Filak Glenn Senkowski Mike Czarnecki Mike Valdez Ron Hoover Steve Sharman Bob Derham Alex Lopez Donnie Dixon Pavel Petran Dave VanPelt Todd Pollock Brinson Harris Alain Cadieux Gene Onacko A.J.
