  1. I hope the moderators will consider leaving this in this forum being so few visit the ship forums. This took over 2 months to build and while the construction was actually pretty easy, the size of the model posed the problem. She measures 4 1/2 long! My wife rigged up a spray booth in the laundry area so I can get her painted (the model, not the wife) in one session. That session ended up being 16 hours. Yes, I made mistakes but overall I think Mr Gaca will be pleased. I left off the deck guns and rigging so as not to have them damaged in transport. After the model is set up at Mr Gaca's
  2. Many thanks to ARC member Tony T and his contact person near Ridgewell airfield in the UK. They managed to procure a chunk of concrete from one of the runways used by the 381st Bomb Group during WW2. This is being given to Mr John Bunker who many of you already know as the top turret gunner who I built the visible B-17 for. I hope Mr Bunker enjoys this as much as I do!!!!!! Thanks again Tony and to your contact Jason as well, I hope to return the favor somehow!
  3. Thanks guys!!! I'm gonna like this Grandpa gig!
  4. Spent the day with my daughter, Christine, and grand daughter, Madison Grace. This kid does 3 things: eat, sleeps eat!
  5. This is your best Sherm yet!!!!!! I have the same kit but haven't gotten the chance to build it. BTW, did you see the new company called AK Interactive is coming out with paint sets specifically for tank tracks and tires? Gonna get me some of that!
  6. I guess my electrons weren't repelling anything this morning when my knife got too close and I cut myself!
  7. Will a 1:35 partially started UH 60 work for you? Pay the postage and it's yours.
  8. The heck with the model, let's see pics of the girlfriend!!!!!
  9. I stand corrected and apologize. The Harder and Steenbeck came with an Iwata Ninja which is also very quiet but no real regulator, no water trap and psi limited to 30. Sorry, my mistake.
  10. Actor James Cagney never used the often quoted line; "You dirty rat!" Marion Robert Morrison is better known as John Wayne. Charles Bronson was a gunner on a B-29 with the 39th BG
  11. What if Hitler were born a Jew? What if males gave birth? ( I suspect the population would be significantly lower )
  12. I went from a loud, obnoxious tank compressor to the GREX AC1810A compressor. It goes to 50 psi, comes complete with water trap and regulator and it is nice and quiet. It sits right next to the work desk and even when running a normal volume conversation can be had. I got mine as a combo package from Chicago Airbrush. The comp and a Harder and Steenbeck ULTRA airbrush cost less then 200.00. Well worth looking into.
  13. Why is it I never associated mosquitoes with Canada?
  14. I'll bet money it's right where it landed
  15. Herman Goering's nephew, Werner Georing, was a command pilot in the 303rd BG, yep, Hell's Angels!!!
  16. That's all well and good but what did you buy for the wedding? Kidding!!!!! You lucky, LUCKY dog!!!!!
  17. Dude, you need to enter that in a contest just for grins and giggles. I'll bet it takes home a prize. Really nice and the camo is awesome!
  18. Agree with tdogg, green Hogs are cool and the one you built may be the best one I've seen!!!! But it needs more bombs!!!!! Love things that go "BOOM!!"
