  1. Can't tell you what's missing and what details they omitted (I think others in the thread would have waaaaay more expertise there) – but I just felt that it wouldn't hold up out of the box, especially as you can see it pretty well. Here's the rendering by the company.
  2. There's not enough details for the scale, imho.
  3. Yes – I agree, they are superb. Just feels like cheating 😉 Here's a work-in-progress pic from my build
  4. Hi guys I've just finished my ICM Cobra and as I profited very much from the intel on this thread I thought I'd post it. I know that some details are not quite right (as the kit has them wrong in the first place, especially on the tail section). But some of them are right thanks to the info and the photos you provided here! I built the model more or less as it comes out the box, I just added (cheated with...) the Quinta cockpit set and the M134D is from Live Resin. Anyway - thanks again for providing the materials that helped me with this build.
  5. Hi Guys. Just wanted to drop a short note and thank you all for contributing to this thread! I started my build about a week ago and this thread has been a goldmine in terms of references and information. I really appreciate your dedication to the subject, as I have profited from it immensely.

I would appreciate a feedback from an expert though concerning the pennant/flag (not sure how to call it, being a non-native english speaker). What would that be? An organizational guidon? Wouldn't they be square though? What else could it be? Looking forward to an informed answer, thanks in advance!
  7. 🤯 ...of course! That now seems so obvious that I feel stupid I've asked. But thank you for your answer!
  8. Dear all – after following and reading some of the threads and discussions on this forum for a while I now registered in order to join the conversation – and to ask some experts for advice. I just started to build the Revell 1/72 PBY Catalina. While researching the subject I stumbled upon the beautiful Kodachrome photographs of some Catalinas at Corpus Christi, TX in 1942 – taken by photographer Howard Hollem. I really like those photos and would like to follow them during the build. Now – there was especially one photograph that caught my eye; I attached it below (in Lo Res). It
