  2. Hi! I've got quite a few requests to show details of the MILVUS-62 resin model build. So this is the first part of the video series. I'll be grateful for comments helping to improve and for subscribing the WhatIfSciFi channel - this will boost the chances of my new works being featured in the public. Thank you! Cheers JARED
  3. Following the MILVUS-62 diorama walkthrough it's time to quickly show 5DR diorama before moving on to other topics. I had the 5DR assembled and light painted long before. During various shows, it had to stay on a piece of PVC, with legs immobilized to it with a white tack. That was tricky to maintain and unsafe, so this diorama was needed not just for the aesthetic reasons πŸ™‚ First I used plates of resin made earlier for no obvious reason; this is a primed result. I also added some pipes and rocks. A foot placement test: And a test for the "me
  4. Because I love to meet the sci-fi builders here, I thought I'll post a few build and paint steps for the MILVUS-62 diorama. You're the first to see most of that πŸ™‚ So there are two kits used, the drone and the miniature of its "operator". The latter is dedicated to the drone - the serviceman is looking up and holding a controller. All parts of the drone (minus the wires): Weapons assembly and the manual: Base paint of individual parts: A coat of color of individual parts, camo and some metal: Metal:
  5. Hi 10% OFF for the Forum community (in addition to the prices below!): πŸ‘‰ Link: https://thekombinat.com These are kits displayed here and here. πŸ‘‰ Please email me info@thekombinat.com or send a message for coupons. Best, Jared
  6. Hi It’s cool to be back here with new stuff πŸ™‚ A new thing I’d like to share. These are the 5DR β€œRescue labor” mech with a mechanic, and a new model MILVUS-62 drone with an operator mini. Both on display with dioramas during the miniature paint festival in Warsaw this weekend. All of them are garage kits in 1/35 scale. The 5DR mentioned here before, is 20 cm tall and admittable it is just shaded/highlighted with no complex paint for now. Compared to it, the drone is completely painted and weathered and atypically floating on a single cable.
  7. Those german colors are all I have. I am done with painting and weathering. Other modelers are doing much better job. Now moving on to painting a MILVUS-62 drone model. This time I record videos for the entire process on my channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCURFa1i0uFXnbqLhsbze3PQ. Cheers
  8. Hi! Before I post about new kits, here's something for the mecha. πŸ”₯RARE $200 reduction due to year-end inventory and for HAPPY 2022.πŸŽ‰ πŸ‘‰ Email me info@thekombinat.com or send a message for coupons BEFORE SATURDAY. https://thekombinat.com/kits/28-5dr-technical-rescue-mech-aka-rescue-labor.html Best regards /Jared/
  9. For those looking for detailed info on the Rescue Labor 5DR mecha resin kit, here's a new inbox review from GalaxyKits sci-fi model news site: https://galaxykits.com/inbox/rescue-labor-135-kombinat/ (English auto-translation available)
  10. Yep, thanks for mentioning that! Working on a Soviet militia drone. Stay tuned πŸ™‚
  11. Hi! Non-standard, sci-fi/what-if designs that look believable, intrigue me. Friends convinced me to turn this mech into usable model kit instead of keeping for myself just one copy. Months and months later here it is. A technical rescue machine 5DR code-named "Rescue Labor". It's a unit coming from alternative Soviet universe, which I hope will grow ;). 1/35 scale, 20cm height. 330 resin parts and 95 metal parts, decals and large assembly manual. Not a 3D print, parts have no artifacts or a need for sanding. Miniature of a mechanic is an integral part of the works. Hope
