  1. Nice. How did You make canopy tint? And those stretched skin effects - selfmade?
  2. Some link, would You mind?
  3. Thanks for Your feedback πŸ™‚ . What You wrote confirms my further research I did meanwhile. This rain repellent thing seems to be some custom modification which was not common for the airframe. That's what I,m gonna do in there - nothing πŸ˜‰ .
  4. Is this a teaser of some sort? If so, You better deliver something up to anticipation mood You've created πŸ˜‰
  5. OK, kind people - it is first time I do this, because internet research failed to answer my question. And the question is what is installed on the rear wall of A-4M cockpit, on the right side, from the seat perspective. One of pictures available on ARCAIR shows the example, where this area is actually empty, but some gentleman from some Facebook modeling groups shared a picture with me, and it shows rain repellent fluid tank, which seem to be mounted near seat's firing pin sear. Unfortunately the picture is badly cropped and it main content is a label on this tank - how it is mounted,
  6. Can anyone help with link to some japanese blog devoted to F-4 and its model kits? I remember there were nice comparison between kits, and I'm specifically after the picture showing difference between ZM and Tamiya canopy outline... Anyone? I can't google out bloody thing no matter what...
  7. Because they never have... These are what-if builds. Very nice, BTW πŸ™‚
  8. I think it should be noted, that many of pictures of this beauty in this thread, are no longer visible... 😞
  9. Yeah... Well, so, basically this guy, more or less known in "scale modeling internet" likes kits easy to build in terms of fit and building speed, canion-wide panel lines, allowing to apply wash easier etc.... ...while many other people prefer kits more challenging during construction phase, with more subtle detail, and more accurate at the same time. "As long as it looks like the thing..." I hear this tune often lately... πŸ˜‰ It's just his personal opinion, and choice, to be respected, but it's not any sort of "revealed truth" or objective truth. This personal statement doesn't really
  10. Thanks for the info. It may be deceiving, but I took a look on both Hase F-2 and Tamiya F-16 landing gear bays and indeed it seems the layout and equipment inside are more or less the same. And definitely Aires set for both kits looks identical πŸ˜‰
  11. Hello everyone - The title speaks for itself I guess. My recent web research was not succesful at all, and I found only a great set of exterior pics on Flickr, so grab it BTW: https://www.flickr.com/photos/happy_modeling/albums/72157626431784597 Unfortunately bays are not shown in this set, and I coudn't find any elsewhere - is there anyone who can help?
  12. Well, it's the subject to be considered... Personally I prefer closed cockpits - I just don't like to break clean lines and silhouette of an aircraft by opened canopies, and I just thought careful adding some material in the area of front canopy in order to recreate bulge, may be possible... After all it's still easier to modify and accurize better kit, than the worse one πŸ˜‰. Although I've seen at least two briliantly executed, modified Hase G Phantoms on web... Scale modeling. Game of choices πŸ˜‰
  13. To be honest I was quite surprised the problem even occurs in F-4 kits. But knowing this now, most likely I will skip the idea of buying ZM G variant, since list of inaccuracies seems getting bigger and bigger. Also it makes price tag on ZM kits questionable indeed. Perhaps I'll stick to Hase kit on G, and will wait patiently for J from Tamiya.
  14. Well, having FM kit in my hands right now, I dare to disagree. Perhaps curves are not as much pronounced as they should be, but canopy base edgdes are definitely not straight and parallel lines.
