  1. Umm, yes! HooYah That was what I was thinking, either that or possibly some other H-60 varients, possibly UH-60Q (medical) or the MH-60K. They could always release a little bird because those seem to be disappearing fast. Just about any modern helicopter in the 1/35 would please me...
  2. to Alby I have one of the Blackhawks in the 1/144 scale. Not a bad kit at all. Just the gunner ports are molded closed, which was the only thing that I was disapointed in, the doors/floor could also use a little fix to but it is quite a nice little kit (esp because you get two of them)
  3. more pics incoming, I took off the gunner windows for right now, but I detailed the ceiling (it isn't going to be accurate, but I can live with it), and also the pit has more detail (the yellow, red, and grey, not just drybrushed silver) (edited: I am redoing the ceiling/more details, see post on 3rd page)
  4. thanks, and also, get the cobra resin set for the MH/HH-60G, it has a lot...
  5. where is the "vibration absorbtion mount" if it is in the cabin? Also, I have decided to leave out the seats for the reasons that Trigger stated.
  6. ok, so there arent any seats, and do you have any pics of the ceiling/ khaki stuff between the gunner window and the cockpit (the fire extinguisher is on it)
  7. I have further detailed my cockpit with that link that you gave me...I think I may try to make the outer .50 cal with the external ammo box... Is that on both sides? for the radios and countermeasures, those come with the cobra company resin set. I will stick to the AFSOC grey pattern with the block upgrade (new nose). thank you for the pics and the help, Austin
  8. Does anyone have any info or pics of the Kiowa in desert storm in 91? Thanks, Austin
  9. I am having trouble hosting mine on Imageshack, but I can host every other image using them...and it is in a compatable format (JPEG)
  10. Hey fellow group builders... I have begun the long process of building my Kiowa by opening the box and staring for ten minutes.... Then it hit me, they give you so many different weapon options, and I am thinking, which one should I use. Possibilities (choose two), and there are enough for doubles (except the .50) 1.) Stinger Missiles 2.) HYDRA 70mm rocket pod 3.) Hellfire Missiles 4.) .50 Machine Gun Plus any refrence pictures of the differences between the OH-58D and the OH-58A would be helpful, because I have pics of the A version that I saw at the Oshgosh airshow. (edited) Also, s
  11. Ok, I came home from the model store with some styrene, so i get to experiment with that and work with that for a while now. I am still in the process of deciding whether or not to make this an HH-60G or an MH-60G... If I was to make the HH-60G, I would have the three color euro camo and the old style nose (w/ FLIR) If I was to make the MH-60G, I would have the new nose and the grey color...(I do like that pic of the externally mounted .50, it gives some ideas...) Your opinions would be very well appreciated. (I obviosly can not make this descision and all I know is I want a nice looking
  12. I am still waiting for the 1/35 Ch-47D, then ill be chinookin' it up
  13. thanks for the help so far. I am very busy with high school, as you may know, it is very stressful (esp being in AP/honors classes + sports).... I have decided to add some more detailing to the cabin area...I have found some nice pics but the CD may be helpful...I think that I will stick with the HH-60G (the radome on the side, not the new upgrade), btw any good way to make the shell ejection tubing for the miniguns? student discount on the cd?
  14. I know where Arlington Heights is, well, atleast the one in Illinois... ;)
  15. i just found out about this today...and am wondering if I could join the build...I will probably end up building a 1/35 Kiowa Warrior from Academy (I am over 25% of the way done with my pavehawk so I can't use that)...If you guys want me to build somethin else I am always glad to go to the model store over the weekend...
  16. I have the Academy MH-60G and the cobra company resin conversion kit, and I have finished roughly 50% done...I would be very interested in some info (pics) on the MH-60G (HH-60G) esp the main and tail rotors. Preferably from Afghanistan. thanks for the help (edit: I have taken apart the interior to do more detailing, so I am not even close to 50% done, my guess would be 10-20% done) here are two pics of the interior... sorry about the pic being bright. I know there are little specs (silver and yellow) on the controls/pilots seat, but need not worry, they are gone
