  1. Me and a friend took the 500 km drive to Ørland airbase for the spottersday in connection with this years Tigermeet.. Spent the whole day with about 450 other "maniacs" from all over Europe and also quite a few Japanese guys.. Got to see some jets I dont see all that often up here anymore also. There was supposed to be some Slovak Mig-29's French Mirages and also some Checz (I beleve) mil-24 Hinds, but they didt come due to budget restraints.. ohwell Here is what did turn up anyway
  2. I'm building this jet as I know decals are already at the printers. Check out www.vingtor.net for ordering info. one sceet is made for all three scales. As for the paint I use Tamiya Gloss Red , White and Blue. and for the BMF on the lower parts I use Citadel Chainmail.
  3. Decals will be released from Vingtor (www.vingtor.net) in mid-late june. He has a nice array of RNoAF decals and more to come.
  4. With the first ever RNoAF F-16 demojet I learned about a week ago that decals are at the printers alredy. so I just could't help myself. I had started a Kinetic F-16AM and planned to make it a Belgian Tiger, but had not come far enough in the build so that I had added the belgian features.. so I decided to turn it into a Norwegian demo jet insted. This jet will be clean, and brand new out of the paintshop, no weathering or loadout.. Here is the progress. I have the upper surfaces and tails done, now when it's dryed off for a cupple of days I'l mask it off the upper surface and do the met
  5. Lookin for Vivacious Vipers #2 in '32 scale, or to be more exact , the Norwegian part of this, Anyone have one , shoot me a PM Planning a RNoAF AM and BM in '32nd scale to go with my Thunderjet and Ongoing Sabre and future F-5A
  6. Yea I made a '48th scale one from 336th about 10 years ago, it's in the galleries here. This jet is in '32nd so I had to paint most of the markings exept for the stenceling, codeletters/numbers and roundells. (a '32nd sceet is avaleble from www.vingtor.net)
  7. Yea I know, that's the one thing I really messed up on this one
  8. When I was working on my F-84 a few weeks back I felt a "need" to do another another of the RNoAF jets I've always had a liking to. The F-86F served for a good number of years here in Norway.. I have 2 Kinetic F-86F-40's I picked up at a sale and figured I might put them to some good use.. Yea I know alotta you guys think this modell sucks, but hey.. I got them cheap so why not enjoy the build instead of banign the innacurasies.. Quite a few sqadrons had flew the Sabre, but for this build I've picked a 338th sqd. Based at Ørland AB a few miles west of Trondheim they had the '86 after i
  9. aaahhh. dude your makin me watch all of them starting with the phantom menace.. this is gonna be a loooong night :P
  10. Kick @ss vid dude. Love it :)
  11. Hi folks I've got a 32'nd scale Kinetic Sabre that I'm working on. I've got the german boxin so all the stencelings are in German. If anyone wanna part with one for the USAF version I'd really appriciate it. Tiger27
  12. As most of you may know, the trial against the mass murderer and terrorisst Anders B Breivik is on here in Oslo. I've been following it on the news and radio from the court room. A cupple of days ago he made a statement in court that a Norwegian verson of a peace song was used to marxist indoctrinate Norwegian children. Needless to say this upset alotta people.. Right now 50 000 people gatherd in Oslo, singing this song together with the man who made it famous.. everybody with a rose in their hand. Then they form a parade of roses and walked up to the courthouse where the trial is beeing hel
  13. truly an awsome build :D
  14. thanks guys :) Flyingfortress , yea I've kinda been wondering if my build sucks or somethin ;)
  15. So I'm done with this one.Although I'm contemplating adding some very light weathering on the weels and gunports. This is the Hobbyboss kit, built OOB exept for some PE seatbelts. The decals are some from the kit, some custom made and some from Vingtor (www.vingtor.net). The kit is fine and the build is relativly painless. Minor amounts of putty is needed and the fit is generally very good indeed . A little on the jet, the RNoAF receved a number of these -84's in the early 50's the first 6 was E modells , the rest was G's. They equiped the RNoAF untill they was replaced by the F-86E/F in
  16. Decals starting to find their place. The lightning bolt is a little small, but I don't have proper refrances or pics to make it more accurate so I took some from the spares box and Vingtors decalsceet for '32nd F-104G
  17. any news on these kits ??
  18. I don't care what universe you come from.. that's gotta hurt..
  19. OK so a quick update. I had to redo the entire paintjob.. I screwed up the paintjob.. oh wait a minute.. *****'n vallejo screwed it up.. so here is what happend. I had masked off the spine and cowling in order to do the green part, Some carefull masking and a layer of Tamiya dark green I let it sit overnight to dry. Now after a good nights drying I very gentely removed the masking tape.. and the aluminium paint and primer right along with it.. I wast' really a fan of Vallejo.. now i dispise it.. Now you can imagine my suprice.. and I looked at my F-84.. about 70pst of the modell was no
  20. Tack Janne :) the aluminium is Humbrol metalcote aluminium, the darker ones are citadel boltgun+chainmail mix. I'm gonna do some very ligt and subtle shadeing using other metallic shades but I have to be very carefull not to screw up the initial paint job.
  21. It's a suppriseingly easy build. the partsfit is exelent and only small ammounts of filler is needed. The seemline down the center of the spine and bottom is horrendues and needs to be taken care of, but really thats the only problem I had and it was an relativly easy fix
