  1. See, i dont really care about my cockpits, seeing as mine all hang from the roof, so they dont get any special detail at all (either all black, or all black with a olive green chair), But, ive only used an airbrush on my latest model, and all the rest i hand painted (including a 1/48 Raptor)
  2. Lol, someone told me to use it on my Rafale, so im trying to find it, but since none of you can, im just going to mix up some of my own light grey
  3. i dont know!! all i know is what it says in this: http://www.arcforums.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=79817

  9. What ratio do i add the thinner?
  10. OK, downstairs i have a Rafale M ready to be painted, now, i think the grey i have is 374 ( Revell Numbers), but i think it says to paint the model in 371, is that correct? so, im looking for a really light grey paint ( Like the ones in the gallery(so it Looks like i need acrylics))and i want it Matt, because i hate the Satin paint i have
  11. Thanks Alot That means i can get to work airbrushing my Rafale AND Eurofighter
  12. Can i use my dads Car Paint thinners? or do they have to be special thinners?
  13. I think a spray bottle is a good alternative for an Airbrush, but only for this, not for painting!! Im trying to tint windows with this, and its bloody hard, im not sure how many dips i should do!!
  14. sorry to go off subject, but 1/6 HOLY COW, THATS ONE BIG MUSTANG!!!!!!!!!!
  15. You can paint like that, and your only 14? that doesnt make any sense
  16. Cheers everyone So, do i add more food coloring for a deeper effect, or will it look crappy?
  17. ok, Tamiya thin cement, ill get some of that for my next models How about the tinting question? does it really work? how do i get an orange cockpit? i dont really want to buy the Tamiya clear paints, as im quite low on cash at the moment (Valentine's Day.....)
  18. when i glue canopies together ( i like my planes to be in mid-flight) i usually get a clousy glue mark where the glue has come out and gone on it!!! Is it the actual glue im using ( liquid Poly)? can i get rid of it? ALSO : is food colouring + future the best way to tint? i like the idea!!! i suppose if i bugger it up, out comes the Windolene  :D
  19. would this way be better, or can i do the panel lines using the chalk+water+soap method?
  20. i think we ought to take advice from that youngster ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ lol
  21. hey mate, im 15 aswell, but ive built loas of models!! not rushing is absolutely necessary!!! ive buggered up a few becausei get more and more excited as i build ( like a snowball gathers extra snow when it rolls!!) good choice of plane!! ive said hundreds of times, but my latest ( ITS IN THE POST  ) is a Revell 1/48 Rafale M i will take pics, and i hope you do too, i want to see that beast!!
  22. definately my 1:144 MiG - 29, as i managed to clone it from my 1:72 version !!!!! But, this may change when i get my Revell 1/48 Rafale M!!! i got it in a gift set, so it comes with loads of modelling tools ! CANT WAIT
  23. I think im going to try airbrushing my ' Klear'. so, Tamiya Flat Base is the way to go for a semi-gloss finish? Also, if i put Klear on my canopy, will it get rid of those annoying glue marks i usually get? what causes that?
