  1. Ok folks...... I know that this is an old.....OLD thread but this came up in my search for Kingfisher interior colors. I'm having a VERY hard time finding ANY references for this aircraft in regard to the interior colors. From what I'm reading here, it appears that the base color is Dull Dark Green and everything above the fuselage rails is aircraft color. Any new findings since this thread was originally posted?
  2. This build took me about 4 months to get finished. Being a Tamiya it lends itself to a quick build. It was a run of the mill 1/48 Tamiya Fw190 D-9 with an Aires (pretty much complete engine and cockpit set), CMK undercarraige set, Model Master gun barrels and Aeromaster decals. Additionally, there was a slew of parts that I used from my spare Eduard Fw190 A8/ R2 kit to include the sliding canopy section, landing gear struts and doors (due to fact that Tamiya's landing gear is WAY too short), port side wing root cannon access panel, pitot tube, and instrument panel with PE. I also used a cowl g
  3. It's hard to believe that's the old Monogram kit. Unbelievably painted and weathered. Great job on this!!!
  4. To say that this is an impressive build just doesn't seem like enough. VERY well detailed, painted up and weathered.
  5. When I started this build I had no intention of building the General Lee as everyone knows it. I am a Charger fan long before I am a "Dukes" fan but still like the look of the General Lee so I hope I don't hurt any GL purists out there looking on. I built one as a kid and have always wanted to have a second shot of it. Only this time I got to add my own touches to it. I started with the stance. I didn't like the high stance of the Lee at all so I set out lowering a bit all the way around. I also went with wider wheels from the AMT Eckler Corvette kit and used a set of tires(which I turned into
  6. Looks like both parties were happy. Awesome pic of an awesome moment.
  7. Very nice build bud. I had the same issue with my hood. Crazy how that works and I even "straightened" it out and it still had some minor fit issues. Great kit otherwise.
  8. These are some nice kits. I built one a year or so ago and aside from a few hiccups it was a complete dream to build. I've really gotta hand it to you on that interior. Looks great.
  9. Heya Chris! Man I'm sure hoping I get to go!! Never been to anything that large model wise before. Thanks for the welcome bud. Thanks Geoff!! Gimme a day or two to get some things here at home dealt with and I'll start posting a few things. Hey TS!! I'm from Corpus Christi and thank you for the welcome man!!
  10. Hello everybody! My name is Joe and some of you have seen me on other forums. When I got back into this hobby around 12 years ago I was building 1/48 scale aircraft and then….about 4 years later I decided I wanted to be able to build showroom finished autos but lacked the skills necessary to pull it off in regards to paint and finish. It would take me three more years to get a method down that worked for me. I still build an occasional aircraft model but still stick mostly to autos as that's where I have the most fun. My other hobby is hotrodding but is significantly more expensive which i
