  1. Neil is the most amazing modeler on the planet.

  5. It is too bad we are unable to do the same here in Canada with our Avro Arrow. Nice shots!
  6. Welcome back to the hobby! Here is the link to my all-time favorite B-52 article! http://hsfeatures.com/b52had_1.htm
  7. We waited for this cold spell so the ground was hard enough for the crane. The poles up the tail were 19,000 lbs and the center of gravity was all out of wack. The lifting was "unconventional" with the poles attached.
  8. Fuuny, the first words that came to my mouth even before I read your post was WOWZA too!
  9. Normally we do the trip each year, I haven't heard anything yet. We have a Florida trip in January, and another deployment scheduled which is up in the air. We usually do the Kirkland trip in August. I think we missed this years trip. A few of you guys owe me beer and I need to hunt down another for my coin .
  10. It was a sad day in Cold Lake when this occurred. Many of my co-workers put allot of hours into the restoration of that jet. I put allot of hours into the jet, but for other reasons. It was rebuilt for service at least three times before they finally retired it for good. I hated 702.
  11. I have a brief film clip of a Corsair being painted. They definitely did not mask the wheel-wells. Going back to the person I spoke with, he was certain they sprayed the areas well as they wanted to seal the protective paint with topcoat. At least it was what he did.
  12. Are you really a Taco? My Squadron does TD with you guys once a year. The TACO guys that delivers breakfast to the flightline is great.
  13. Weird, I have followed all your directions and nothing shows up. News has nothing about the A-7. I've even tried to hit refresh and it does not change anything. The last update that I see was on 11/02/2005.
  14. I know what is written on all of this, but I met a person in the States a few years ago who painted Corsairs for Vought during the war. He stated that salmon was used but he says it was all oversprayed with the surrounding color. Thus blue/grey Corsairs had grey wheel wells, tri-color Corsairs had white wheel wells, and sea-blue Corsairs had blue wheel wells.
  15. Thanks for the pictures!
  16. I'd like to know too, I've found other Google videos that I'd really like to download.
  17. Where did you learn about the Victory Models decals?
  18. TH-F was used on several aircraft. I have copies of the Squadrons armanent discharge sheets and it is apparent that as aircraft were lost the codes were used over. I confirmed all the artwork, codes, and serial numbers via wartime photographs. Papa Yokum had been planned for sheet three. I have photo's at home. 418 was the first Squadron I served in. Currently I am in 416.
