  1. Without seeing pictures, if what you have works, use it until it won't any more. If you're compressor is what I think it might be noise might be the only big issue. I would recommend a moisture trap. You can get air hoses with the trap on them or pick up a cheapie at Harbor Freight. This gives you time to save for the compressor of your dreams and lots of practice to raise the bar.
  2. I don't see many of these. Maybe I have to pursue this.
  3. Thanks for the info. The Canadian Hornet Replacement thread got gassed as it became too political. Could you possibly imagine such a thing? This seems to be the only thread left for this subject, so tread carefully. Here in Canada everybody has gone to sleep about this issue and nothing has happened. We are all dreaming about pot - much more important apparently. Out Paul
  4. That is when I can do a Canadian version! Hope I live that long.
  5. Can get out the old Badger350 for this challenge.🙄
  6. SIGH...so much progress being made by the rest of the world. Once again our procurement seems to be buried under important matters like pot legalization. Where oh where is our Hornet replacement?
  7. +1 Every time I use it I congratulate myself on buying it. Pricey yes but worth every penny.
  8. Not everyone will like this, but what I do is to paint the rim first. When that dries I put a tiny amount of Tamiya thinner in a bottle cap. I use beer ones but feel free to use the bev of your choice. Using NATO black and a OOO brush, I pick up a bit of paint, splash my brush in a bit of the thinner (very little) and with my tongue sticking out the left side of my mouth, or holding my breath or both, very carefully paint the black. If there is a defined rim, you've got it made as the thinned paint will flow right to the edge. This will require more than one coat, but hey.... Isn't this about
  9. Here you go! I have a Modelcraft Shack that's been at the bottom of my stash for years. This kit says 45 grams. Now I'll put it back and bury it. Someone who didn't like it gave it to me and it hasn't grown on me yet. Cheers Paul
  10. Ask me if I care. Relax. Was probably written late at night. Everybody wants to be offended by something. Sheeesh
  11. I'm a total tramp. I'll use anything I can get my hands on. I'm only here to use you guys for my own selfish reasons.....wha ha ha!
  12. Another good one from Shawn. I had no idea that these came in dark blue. Now I'm interested in finding one of these in 1/144 to build.
  13. Non anal- wings extended Anal- wings folded 😃
  14. I always wondered about that "German equipment worship" sort of thing too. Check out an armour site and the Panzers definately rule. Lots of design innovation, but in the end, kaput.
  15. Article says between 5 and 7 billion. Pfft...what's a billion here or there? Why is this kind of information buried and not picked up by the media on a wider basis? This kind of extravagant waste should be accountable. Don't mind the smoke coming out of my ears.
  16. This whole thing is so frustrating. It's like watching someone who is a poor driver try to parallel park.
  17. I have the Eclipse HP-CS SJ. I moved up to the Revolution from a Badger 350 and entered a new world with dual action and gravity feed. I still enjoy the Revolution but I find that the Eclipse, when I got it, gave me more control. It has a smaller nozzle and needle and I find that I don't have to work as hard to do fine lines. It also cleans a lot easier. It all comes down to what you're comfortable with. I even still use my old Badger from time to time. Cheers Paul
  18. Ever since I got the Eclipse, I hardly use my Revolution. Very little drama when I paint...it just works.
  19. I have sheets of Lettraset letters and numbers that are useless from their age and they're from the eighties. You are warned.
