I’m building the Hobbyboss 1/18th scale. For this project I wanted the biggest model they made as this one will hang from the ceiling. Close enough for me. Just need to get the paint scheme as close as possible. Great information by the way, I really appreciate the input.

Hi there excuse me for being a noob, we’ll sort of. I’m 54 and just getting back into the hobby since I was a teenager. I always loved the Sabrejet and its simple lines. As a kid I watched the movie The Last Chase. Let’s face it the Sabre scenes were the best part. The kit I’m building is the very huge Hobbyboss 1/18th scale. While for a big kit it is molded very nicely. However the paint scheme is very inadequate. I want the cockpit as detailed as I can but having a hard time finding good references in color. I thought maybe a kit in a smaller scale might provide a more detailed paint sc
