I neither defend nor accuse the lack of accuracy of the paints being used. What I defend is obvious when you want to define something, which is seeing colors under the conditions under which they should be seen. Because, for example, to define what a kilogram is, it's not enough to say it's a liter of water; you have to specify that it's a liter of pure water, at the standard pressure of the ocean level, and at precisely 4° Celsius, not 10° Celsius or 1° Celsius, not a gram more or a gram less, not at a higher or lower altitude, with more impurities or more pressure. Hi. Color perception depends on many factors, some of which we have influence over but others we don't. It depends on the background color where the paint is applied, the thickness of the paint layer, the thinner, the camera settings, and the monitor settings where we view the photograph, but what most influences the perception of a color is the environment. An isolated color compared to the same color accompanied by a certain color or accompanied by another certain color has completely different perceptions. Would you say the top square is dark gray and the bottom sq

Good morning. With a very diluted Vallejo, I simulated dirt in some areas and panel lines, as well as some paint chips. Andrés.

Hi all. I started this model quite some time ago, and for long explanation reasons, I don't have any photos of the cockpit. Today I've gone back to it and applied RLM 74, 75, and 76, as well as 04 and Blue 24. Except for the last two, I didn't use masks. The smoke on the engine exhaust pipes was done with XF-64, very lightened with white and diluted to 95%. I continued with it and finally darkened it with a mixture of black and brown XF-10. Looking in the box, it turns out I had already painted the propeller, and I didn't even remember it, but here it is.

Hi all. I didn't really like this IBG kit. The surface detailing had some things I liked, such as the fine paneling, and some things I didn't, such as the somewhat thick and separate riveting. I didn't particularly like the engineering of the parts and their high number of parts. The Techmod decals performed as I expected from this Polish brand: perfectly fine, on par with the best. To paint it, I used both Tamiya mixes and references from Gunze, Vallejo, and Alclad. Tamiya gloss and satin varnishes from Vallejo. It's practically OOB except for the gun tube

Hello again, after 8 months... During the painting of this model, I was surprised that the colors looked too light, especially the RLM 82 too yellowish. Yes, the RLM 82 is a light green, but it's not as light as it appears in the photos here. This led me to buy and use other RLM 82 references on top of the original color. But with the model in my hand, I couldn't see any difference. Until I discovered that what was causing those "bright" colors was the camera settings, which were set to "vivid colour" when they should have been set to "standard." Now, when I look at the photos o

Mask Advice: which manufactures are good/which to avoid

If you're referring to masks for painting airplane canopy, there are many, but I prefer the ones from Eduard, made from kabuki paper. Andrés. -

What amazing work I've seen here. A lot of attention to detail and a lot of modeling skills. I like your work. 👍🏻 Andrés. -
Hello everyone. I already have a Bf 109F-2 in my display case, but Eduard's kits are so fantastic, and the 109 liveries are so varied, so spectacular, and so challenging, that I can't just have one F. In fact, I have every Bf 109 Eduard has ever released, and I'm looking forward to their finally announcing the K. The livery I intend to represent is the following. I started this model a few months ago, but like others, after an initial push, it stalled. Today I intend to continue it, so here's a picture of what I did at the time. As

Hey guys, I have some bad news regarding this model: it's going to be unfinished. The reason is completely beyond my control. The Hobby Boss decals turned out to be extremely thin and bent over themselves extremely easily, but were very difficult to put back in their correct position. Furthermore, the tailplane numerals were all on the same decal, but they were incorrectly positioned. This meant that, even though the numerals and letters were the correct dimensions, the space on the tailplane was insufficient, as I realized once I was already placing the decal in place. Thi
