  1. Hello again everyone. Raymond, do you know the colour of the wheel wells and doors of the derilict MiGs of the photograph? I may try to finish model for an exhibit in Paris. I'm not too confident about the colour accuracy of the refurbished plane of the Pakistani museum. Thanks in advance. Laurent PS: I'd like to get one of your decal sheet, pllllease
  2. In France, the equivalent of Future is Klir.
  3. Kotey, many thanks for your analysis ! Personally, I'd say that the plane of the picture you've given is a late PFM (broad fin, two-parts canopy and I don't think Czechs had PFSs). I may be wrong though. Laurent
  4. Kotey: Thanks a lot for the infos ! :P Tigger: Very nice ! It's Pavla's canopy ? Is it different in shape to the kits canopy ?
  5. Hello Valkyrie. Do you have pictures of the top and of the left of the aircraft ? I'm building an Academy "MF" and I'd like to correct the camo before it's to late. Cheers. Laurent
  6. Hello Kotey. Would it be possible for you to tell us what's wrong with the Zlinek drawings ? Thank you. Laurent
  7. Hello Kotey. Would it be possible for you to tell us what if there are shape problems in the Bilek/Italeri kit ? It would be nice. Laurent
  8. If it doesn't exist, then it may be good to make one ! I have a number of MiG-21 kits and a few others. A problem will arise if we discuss a kit's accuracy. How do we know what drawings are accurate ? Speaking about MiG-21s drawings, what are the good ones ? 4+ ? Zlinek (PF version) ? WWP (MF/UM versions) ? Aerofax ? Laurent
  9. I wouldn't say that the model is nice but it looks like a Su-17/22... if you turn off the rivet-counting side of your personnality ! I don't have a Bilek/Italeri kit at hand so I cannot comment on the nose cone accuracy. All I know is that Neomega/Pavla provide nose cones in their detail sets.
  10. It's not. It's a rebox of the Pantera kit. There are some Pantera Su-22s in the Gallery. I find that the rear fuselage is weird: like a Lyulka engined plane when looking on the sides, like a Tumanski engined plane when looking on top. I've built this kit recently OOB rather carelessly but I've filled up the rivets. Here's a pic.
  11. As fare as I know, the only Su-17/22 M-3 kits are from Pantera/Mastercraft. Hilarious riveting, soft recessed panel lines, no detailing whatsoever. It looks like a Fitter anyway. The Italeri/Bilek is a Su-17 M-4. The kit is a lot more detailed that the Pantera kit and it's a lot nicer... but as Flanker stated, there's something wrong with the canopy. Anyway, remove the air intake at the base of the fin and, voilà , you have a Su-17 M-3 (more or less). But not a Su-22 M-3: The rear fuselage is too slim. The reason is that the Su-17 M-3 had a Lyulka engine while the Su-22 M-3 had a fatter Tuman
  12. The Zvezda kit sure looks nice but the nose doesn't look right. The cone is protuding too much and it's angle seems too big. The nose may be also a bit too cylindrical but a little sanding of the lip should solve that. I find the boxart to be really inspiring (MiG taking off using the RATO rockets). Wouldn't it be nice to make a flamming RATO stand ? I wonder how it could be done. Now, would someone please make a newly tooled MF/SM/R ? Plplplplplease ? And a bis less rough than the Kondor kit ? Laurent
  13. As far as I know, you have the equation Alanger = ICM
  14. I don't remember that a two-seater Su-11 ever existed. The two-seater Su-9U has been released a few months ago. German review here.. I prefer the Su-11: It's really a tube with triangles on it, not just a delta-winged Su-7. I hope that the Su-11 will be available soon.
  15. Hello Sebastijan. Nice to see a Su-9. I prefer the Su-11 and I'm waiting for the Amodel kit. Anyway, the kit wasn't made by KP. Don't ask me who released it originally (as I got back in the hobby only in 1999) but now it's sold by MSV Moldova. I suspect that it's the same kit that the Cooperativa and Maquette Su-9s. Keep up the good work !
  16. I don't think they have websites yet. Am I right Kotey ? Kondor kits (from Ukrain, not Condor from Czech Republic who did the German missiles and A-36 Apache kits) can be found at a good price on www.hobbyterra.com. Begemot, I'm not sure. Hannants and Linden Hill Imports , I guess. Are there any other sellers in Europe ?
  17. Oh. Does Condor make a MiG-25 ? NO, but will. Didn't you read Kotey's previous post? Er, honestly, I didn't read the text and I just saw the decal sheet picture. Oops Well, kotey, thanks for the news ! I'll be adding your decal sheet to my small Begemot collection.
  18. Hello. Thanks for the link Diego. Isn't that a MiG-21 PFS (or PF-SPS) ? I'm asking because the parachute fairing is at the base of the rudder. scalemdlr_svaz, I've read that there where camouflaged PFs. There were used for "refresher" flights for officers who hadn't flown fighter planes for a certain period and for advanced training. Laurent
  19. Excellent job, Thommo ! How did you weather the plane ?
  20. Those two birds look really nice, Andreway You've taken out the best of what these Fujimi kits offer. Now, turn off that computer and get some other models built ! PS: Woah, the Fujimi MiG-29 sure has some shape problems.
  21. Hello Thommo. As I said in another thread, count me in. With a P-40, I guess. Groupbuild rules suggestions to discuss: - No panel lines work: No rescribing but what about sanding and filling out ? - No aftermarket stuff (except decals ?): Some Matchbox kits really need an Aeroclub canopy replacement but, well, I guess it would be against the philosophy of the groupbuild. Any comments ? Laurent
  22. All I know is that Mastercraft and Pantera kits do come from the same molds. The instruction sheet has the same drawings. I guess it's the same for Kopro kits.
