Whoa! Epic Concept! 👍

They flew this particular A-7D with those markings whilst training on the 117 at the same time. They flew the aircraft from Tonopah Nevada. I personally now this as a good friend flew the F-117 and the A-7D prior to the public's knowledge at the time. The logo on the side with the "Raptor" was later used in one of the squadron's mascot once the F-117 became public knowledge.

For those specially interested in Japanese forces F-4 Phantoms there is a new book or should I say Manual on the subject. Believe it can be an important reference book for those who plan to build many of FineMolds different special camo version.
The book is, what can I say with its 290 pages is more than comprehensive review of the Phantom history in Japan, versions used, special schemes, some fine details for modellers and year by year collection of some amazing photos. Quality of printing and of photos is astonishing, but I think this is a standard for Japanese publications. Have to add that it is an all Japanese language book.
Best regards

Hi Gabor,
Just got my copy of this book in the mail! As you have said it is the pinnacle book of information of the Japanese F-4's!

The project is still on. : ) : )
Does anyone have this book?
My question is only to ask your opinion. The book is allegedly 1/3rd's about drone operations. In your opinion is it worth buying the book? Asking in view of value of photos for modelling the drone aircraft. In this case this is my priority. Are there good photos of details also, or only general full views of QF’s on ground and in flight?
If details also included I would be tempted to get it.
Thanks in advance!
Stay Safe!!!!
Best regards
Gabor
I have this book in my "Library" and it is generally a good book for lots of Inflight Pictures but what you really need to get is a copy of Jake Melampy's "Modern Phantom Guide" through his Reid Air Publishing site. Although I have not checked the status on availability this is the best book on the market for the information you are looking for.

I've placed my order with HLJ but says it is backordered. Just search F-4 then narrow your search to books and you will see the cover.
Thanks for that info. I search on another site as well and it was backordered but I still put in the order. 🙂
