I am a little late, but just ran across this build while researching mine. This is an awesome looking build with a great finish. Congrats to you Sir.

Looks like special Hobby is going to start out with the Spanish Cobra for the series. I was going to get one, but will wait for the Vietnam option to come out. Took these while out on a rescue of one of our jets that sustained some damage while out on CQ DET in North Island. We were sharing a hangar with the 160TH while. Was pretty cool to get to get up close to the Little Birds in the hangar, as well as speak to and watch the unit work, and fly around on the ramp. That is looking awesome so far. I broke down and bought a couple of these kits... So you build has been very educational for me. Especially your painting techniques. Black is not the easiest thing to paint. I am going to start on a AH-6J so that I can get practiced up. Brandon

Hopefully they will release it with the 9th Cav markings like one of the 1/72 versions. It would go good with the OH-6A I am building at the moment. Now if I could just find some of those markings for a UH-1D, and I could get a nice theme going. Brandon

One of my favorites and as you know has motivated me to do the two seat version. I went to your website and read your article. I would like to respectfully disagree with you about your freehand finish. Had you used masks I think the model would have looked toy like. I have worked around theses planes and your paint job is spot on and very realistic for a newly painted aircraft. I looked a lot at the pics I shared on SMCG with you and then at your model. I think it is about perfect for a clean unfaded build. Brandon

Looking good! Would have been cool for it to have made it to WEPS testing part of the program. I was out on the boat when you guys were out there doing taxi, and ship board movement, testing, and have seen them in the hangar in Pax while being there for a few weeks to take over the T-45 program from Boeing to L3/Vertex Aerospace. I even got the poster to prove it!! LOL! So I am a fan of the X-47B.
