  1. been working on this for the last few days!
  2. great job!!! i'm building the same kit as we speak. how did you get the gun barrels to look so nice?
  3. thanks for the response! It's actually the checkers that go on the cowl on the front of the plane. The decals are the ones included with the Tamiya kit.
  4. does anybody have these leftover from the 1/48 tamiya p-47d bubbletop kit? I managed to fubar mine :) Thanks in advance!!!
  5. wow, beautiful pair of F-84s!!! Some of the coolest looking planes to every fly!
  6. having built (but not completed) both, i'd say its lightyears ahead of the f-117. on the f-117 there is a seam where the top and bottom fueselage halves meet that took putty to fill in... with the p-47, i just buffed out the seams with some 1000 grit sandpaper after gluing it together and there is no sign of it ever being there.
  7. oh by the way.... enjoy the Tamiya P-47, many people (including myself) regard it as one of the best models out there in 1/48. i assembled and painted it in a matter of about 3 days..... a record for me. i bonkered up one of the decals so i put it aside for a while. by the way... the decals that come with ANY of the tamiya p-47s are phenominal.... as good as or better that most aftermarket in my opinion. once again, awesome f-51, i envy your speed!
  8. you just got that kit the other day and you're already almost done???
  9. I almost bought one of these kits today at hobby lobby after watching your build.... then i realized that i have about 100 kits to build so maybe i should finish some
  10. oh boy not this again!! great build!!!!!!!!
  11. I have noooooooo idea what you're talking about
  12. I'm a little concered... you started this model 5 days ago and you STILL arent done.... you still alive man???
  13. It's about time someone calls you out ;)
  14. Terrible trader.... just kidding!
  15. Yes he is right! The jig is awesome! makes detail painting and decaling much much easier since the model stays put and can be placed in any position.
  16. awesome project! man the fit of those wings looks abysmal
  17. I recently acquired a 1/48 Kinetic F-84F, and although its a nice kit, the panel lines are a bit oversized. Is there a good method for shrinking them a little? I was thinking about applying a heavy coat of tamiya primer from the rattle can to fill in the voids a little bit, but I'm not sure how well this will work.
  18. awesome pics! man the weather sure was different on saturday than it was on sunday!
