  1. LOL i forgot about this thread! I was there today... i just got back to san antonio. When they first fired up the Tweet i thought it was the F-15 getting ready for it's demo. I should have known better.... the F-15 is not that loud.
  2. dude those choppers are sweet!!!
  3. i'll probably be going! 3 hour drive from san antonio but I'm sure it will be worth it!
  4. sorry, you're out of luck. time to repent to the modeling gods for blasphemy against a p-47. just kidding! super glue becomes very briddle when frozen. i've had this exact problem before (on that bearcat i built... i did the exact same thinga as you) and simply stuck the finished model in the freezer for about 2 hours. then i just yanked the gears off with easy and reversed them.
  5. is your airbrush hose plugged into the compressor? actually you might laugh but i had that problem once (i have the same compressor) and the hose wasnt screwed 100% onto my airbrush. also, i hooked up a regulator to it and can dial it between about 5 and 25 psi. works great!!
  6. I use future for the gloss coat for decals and polyscale flat as the final touch. works pretty good! Although i might try polyscale gloss to see how much better or worse it is than future.
  7. Added some post-shading to the model to break things up a bit.... also finished some fiddley bits not pictured here!
  8. *looks at replies* *runs away from :wierdo:s posting in this thread*
  9. no need for an apology, it was a great GB! Best of luck to you in these hard times.
  10. 'nuff said!
  11. okay getting there.... some work left on the rudder but the decals (actually used the tamiya decals this time) works out perfectly.
  12. there's nothing better than some nice jugs!!! great job!!
  13. i think the molds were seriously warped. i dont remember my hasegawa f-14 having such issues with proportionality
  14. Thanks for all the pics! Do you guys have any photos of the F-16As from the 147th?
  15. I'm looking for photos of these planes. Thanks!!
  16. as the others have said... flexifiles are great. you may find them under other names. the local Hobbytown USA sells the squadron branded files but they are just as good. i got the jumbo pack that has many different grits! They last forever too (and i mean months in my case) unlike sandpaper which is good for a few swipes before its spent.
  17. sorry for the quadruple post..... these forums get really messed up around lunch time with internal server errors, multiple posts, etc...
  18. The soviets didn't look down too kindly on quitters
