  5. You have done an amazing job on the Avenger - love your build and weathering. Is that the kit torpedo? I have never built it (I've done 5 of them) with the torpedo. I may have to do one more it looks like. One piece of constructive criticism. The bomb bay doors are two pieces each instead of one. It should be cut apart and the lower piece placed on the other side of the v shaped poening mechanism. Feel free to email me for any clarification. I can take some photos of mine and send it to you. But other than that - a superb Turkey!!
  6. Beautifully done - but the only problem I see is that the sound of the engine starting sounds suspiciously like that of an Bf-109 - the cranking prior to engine start up - I have a CD a Black 14 sounds and I recognized it almost immediately - but the build is f---ing sweet! Where did you get the grass?
  7. The North Dakota Bicentennial scheme - anyone have more photos of 66-7498 in this scheme?
  8. Anypne have photos of the F-4 used by the North or South Dakota ANG painted up for the bicentennial of the state? It was all blue with an elaborate seal on the bottom of the plane.... TIA

  10. Thanks for that info - When you grow up not too far from Preddy Boulevard, it's hard not to be a Mustang fan all your life!
  11. These are not my shots - I secured them from the web..(probably another posting somewhere) but I think they are cool as hell and thanks to whomever originally posted them! George Preddy (from Greensboro NC) of the 352nd and his P-51D Cripes A Mighty 3rd
  12. As far as Rick McCallum goes in the photo I posted in my link - He was there with an elderly man that could have only been his father (they had the same nose). The older gent had a B-17 hat on - so he might have simply been there with his father for the show. I didn't intrude on them - but I hope he got some great background for the Red Tails film while they were there. The golf cart he was in was marked "Documentary Film Crew".
  13. Here's a link to some of my photos - Met Lee Archer and a WAF how flew 36 types of a/c in a skirt and heels - WOW!! http://www.modelersunderground.com/forums/...d.php?tid=11962
