  1. When did Airfix stop issuing the classic display stands with their kits? What is the best source to get one today? Thanks in advance!
  2. That´s a fine looking VC10, Neil. Thanks for posting. That was honest of you Jennings. I haven´t decided which decals I´ll use as I haven´t started building the kit yet... I still wonder what kit are the F-dcal and Two decals designed for?
  3. Thanks for the replies! Are the F-dcal decals more accurate than the Two Six decals? The F-dcal version seems to be twice as expensive but is that good? I like the fact that the text is seperated from the blue background on the Two Six version. This way you could choose to paint the blue which I believe is easier than trying to make large decal fit. F-dcal have two types of decals, laser and silk. IIRC, the Two Six decals are screen printed? What is the difference? Also, are the F-dcal and Two Six decals actually made for the Airfix 707? Thanks again
  4. Are the Boeing 707 decals from F-decal out of production? I´ve been looking for this set for a while but can´t find it. I want to build a 707 with the same BOAC scheme as the old Airfix 707 boxart... BTW, do -decal decals replace the kit windows? If so should I putty the kit windows? Thanks in advance!
  5. Greg, Do you know what panel lines were filled on the P-51B? I´m building the Tamiya P-51B right now and I would like to know. Martin
  6. Hello, I would like to build an Airfix Boeing 707 with BOAC decals. Old Airfix releases of this kit featured BOAC decals but is it possible to get hold of these decals nowadays? TIA Martin
  7. Thanks a lot for the help Old Man and terryt! I will try both methods. I appreciate the help!
  8. Hello, I want to rescribe the panel lines of my Airfix Mosquito. I don´t have much experience rescribing panel lines and I would appreciate some advice. I usually use Dymo tape to rescribe straight panel lines but what about oblong and round panel lines? Is there an easy method to fix these? Thanks in advance!
  9. I just want to recommend Recce Phreak, he´s an 100% honest person to deal with. Just discovered this forum on ARC. I would have posted this message earlier had I known it existed. /Martin
  10. Hi, Does anyone know if the Aires cockit and wheel wells set is a major improvement over the kit parts? Is it a good fit etc? I appreciate any help. TIA
  11. Hi, I know that some builders use Blue Tak for masking demarcation lines but, is there any better method? TIA

    ICM spitfire MkIX

Thanks Mario. Still, even with the Eduard set I think there´s no detail on the cockpit floor and lower part of the cockpit walls.

    ICM spitfire MkIX

Hi, I got the ICM Spitfire MkIX which I think is a very nice kit except for the cockpit. Is there a resin cockpit available for this kit? If not it´s a shame, this kit deserves better... BTW, Somebody suggested that the Aires cockpit designed for the Hasegawa kit would fit. However, I got this set and I don´t understand how it would fit, has anyone tried this set on the ICM kit? TIA
  14. Hi Vitor, Why is it so bad? I thought the Occidental and Italeri kits were different?
  15. That sounds promising. I checked out the detail set and it looks very nice. As long as the retailer doesn´t use a secure server I think I will pass though. Is there another source for Small World Accessories´ products? Cheers Martin
