  1. Bl00dy hell, Bobski. That was quick!!! Nice to see a Typhoon in a different colour scheme.
  2. Well, if memory serves correct, the Nimrod still has the longest bomb bay in the world. B52's may be deeper, but I don't think it's as long!! :)
  3. That is a really nice jet. Great to see something a little different from the usual boring hemp. :(
  4. Ladies and gents One of the first detailing sets for the Airfix Nimrod is on the market. Pictures are here. Available from A2zee
  5. Damn I fancied doing one of the Lucy or Michelle jets, clicked on the link that Gary provided to be told that Hannants have sold out!!! Anyone know if there is any truth in the rumour that Lucy and Michelle were originally painted in full colour, then over painted as silhouettes, and then removed altogether? Anyone got any pictures of the originals?
  6. I wont be greedy..... 1 choice only....... A 1/72nd VC10 that could be built as a standard or super; or as a VC10C1K, K2, K3 or K4!!
  7. Rom That looks fantastic, and as others have said, so nice to see a different colour scheme from a different air force. Got to ask, though, what is your technique on the panel lines? They just look so good for a weather beaten in-service jet. Subtle but bl00dy effective.
  8. BEAUtiful. Lovely finish. One question though. Given that you have done gun smoke from the machine gun ports in the wings, why none from the nose cannon ports? The Beaufighter has to be one of my all time favourite aircraft and so sad that there are none airworthy. Fingers crossed for the Duxford rebuild though.
  9. Nothing special really.... I would just love Zotz to do a reprint of their roundels of the world series. Please Eli, you know you want to!!
  10. 74 Squadron, Royal Air Force
  11. Bl00dy Hell Guys. You lot have a great imagination. Some of those are fantastic. Now being greedy and after my request for a Kenyan AF Typhoon, lets assume that Kenya decide to match the Eritreans and go for a Russian product (and as a few Flankers have already appeared) any chance of a KAF Su27? How about a KAF Su27 in a desert scheme? And whilst we are at it how about an Omani AF Su27 in a jaguar style wrap around or in the Omani Hunter style blue grey? Thanks, hopefully!
  12. Oh that would be great. I heard a rumour that the big secret project for next year was a VC10 in 1/72. Well this is a rumour network isn't it? Oh no, wrong site! Come on Airfix, you know you want to! Afterall with the £1 Billion savings in next year's UK Defence budget the VC10 is going to be in service until 2014........ 2015 ....... Any advance anybody? Perhaps the Mighty 10 will make its 50th birthday in RAF service. Sorry. Slightly off topic.
  13. Awesome one. Thanks for that. One of my Revell Typhoons will now definitely become Kenyan Air Force!!!
  14. To all the graphics experts. Can anyone do me Typhoon (modern one not the WWII one) in a Kenyan Air Force colour scheme. A copy of the F5E scheme would be good (which I think is based on the 1980s RAF Dark Green, grey and light aircraft grey scheme). Some pictures here: ARC Forums I plan to do a What-if sometime!
  15. Stopped off in a model shop in London on the way home and they had a few Airfix Nimrods in!! Thought about buying one of them but held back until those I have on order turn up in the post!!
