  1. Brilliant!! Must have 2x @ 1/72nd scale!! Thank you sooo much!!
  2. Looks great to me too. I'd be stoked with the end result.
  3. Save your money for the Dallas area - Houston has become the Dead Zone AFAIK. I did see a sign for a new shop off I-10 near Beltway 8 on the SW side, but it's an RC-only outfit. No plastic. Wild Bill's in Irving should be your #1, then Hobbytown USA @ Walnut Hill or Hobbytown USA @ I-20. The place "Nazca Kitchen" next to the Walnut Hill location has some amazing food, if you're adventurous. Crossroads Diner, just in the next parking lot is also a vgood place to eat.
  4. Sheesh Mike, putting the rest of us braillers to shame.
  5. Personally, I'd wet myself at the sight of a Thunderbirds F-107 sheet....
  6. YESSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!! 2 for me please!!
  7. You still after one of these? I tried to PM you, but it was rejected. Inbox full??

  9. DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANG!! Brilliant!!
  10. Also want to throw in a recommendation for Dave's Hobby Shop in Beverly. Surprising selection of plastic, and very good prices. I was expecting the place to be R/C only, so was happy to find a good dose of Italeri and Hasegawa stuff on the shelves. Thanks Dave!
  11. Visited the Hobby Emporium shop today; freakin' amazing! HIGHLY recommended. Visited Hobby Bunker yesterday; also highly recommended. Tomorrow going to Spare Time, but I've been there before, and I know "They're grrreat!" Gads, I love visiting Boston.
  12. Here's my Quel-Gulnau built up. Only big filler spots were on the underside of the fore-arms. A small filler strip was used to cover a gap on the underside, and two small chunks added detail near the eye. More to follow.
  13. Just a quick look on squealbay shows listings for two different versions as 1:24th scale kits by Academy from sellers in Korea.
  14. I stumbled across a set of miniature figures for the Robotech RPG Tactics game today. Neat little mini-kits that build into fixed-posed play pieces for this new(?) sci-fi game. They're supposedly scaled to 1/285th (GHQ MIcro-armor size), and promise a surprising range of types. Not associated with this in any way, just passing the word. 15. How does one think "thumbs up" in Russian? "Remember, you must think in Russian." ;-D
  16. Another 72nd release would rock!! I missed out on the first time around, and would eagerly snap up a small-scale copy of these new subjects!!
  17. Oh yeah, don't get me wrong; great trip & great shops. I picked up a few rare kits there, so I was pleased as punch.
  18. After a recent road-trip to far north Texas, I can report on the Amarillo and Lubbock situation. Lubbock: one shop, "Wings & Things Hobby". Mostly RC and RR, with an affiliation to HT-USA apparently. Some plastic kits hiding in the back, largely 1/48th and 1/32nd scales. Only place in town, so WTH? Right?? Amarillo: two shops, "Hobby Time" and "Amarillo Hobby House". Hobby Time is a weird set-up, as it's in the attached hangar of a mc-mansion on the grounds of Tradewind Airport. Very nice place, loads of paints, supplies, and tools. Lots of current-release kits, and resin/PE accessories
  19. Bob, Hobby Search (Japan) frequently posts instructions online. In your case, you're in luck: SH-3 Kit page
  20. I'd love to see it in 72nd as well. And, yeah, I'm an Austinite too. Thanks!!!
