Here's a pic of the main gear bay for a "C" model. The bay and gear look white.

I checked my reference photos and found the early models look grey, but the later versions are white. However the photos of the early models may be deceiving. If I could figure out how to attach pictures i would, send me an e-mail and I will try to send them to you directly. John
