Hi Everyone, I wanted to share some photos of my recently completed Aurora 737-200 finished with DRAW Decals' Aloha Airlines livery. It was originally intended for a 737-700, but with a little bit of work, they got the job done. A lot of people simply collect these old kits and never build them. True, they do show their age in some areas, but for me, it was an added treat working with plastic that dates back to 1968. I did add a set of resin engines from Contrails, as well as scratchbuilt flap fairings. I took a tiny bit of liberty and added the BOEING 737 titles to the engines, as

Thank you everyone for the compliments and kind words! And Skyhawk... I definitely recommend DRAW. His digital silk decals are very well printed, very durable, but also exceedingly thin. If you've never used them before, it takes a bit of practice. My best advice is to slide them directly from the backing paper onto the surface of the model wasting no time and being very careful not to let them roll-in on themselves. Beyond that, they produce a fine result!

Hi everyone! This is also up over on airlinercafe, but I wanted to share a couple of photos of my newly completed Hawaiian DC-10. I've been chasing after this project for years and years. I originally completed this kit (Doyousha/Entex) as N101AA the prototype DC-10 in it's American Airlines livery, but a big scale Hawaiian Air -10 has always been what I've really wanted. Now thanks to DRAW's new Hawaiian DC-10 sheet, I'm able to say I've got one :) I was even able to name her N122AA 'Kauai' which was really cool because I've got a lot of special memories of time spent on that island.

The owner of the Boeing 40 is actually friends with my teacher. I believe he stopped by here as a guest-speaker last week or so. It's great to finally see the pictures!

Skyway is a GREAT place. One of the last remaining hole in the wall "model shops".

Completely, utterly speechless.

Uh......... wow. Just wow.

The Typhoon comes to mind as well...

Sure was. I woke up at 1:00 and could still hear rotors turning up there, though it sounded like they were on the ground by that time.

I was #108 once upon a time. Long story...

That's funny, I saw / heard it too. Are you sure it was a UH-60? My guess is that they were shooting some night approaches.

So let me get this straight. Just because we enjoy overwhelming military superiority over pretty much all the rest of the world, and because our strategic deterrents have effectively done their job for the better part of 60 years... now is the right time to essentially lower our guard by severely diminishing our strike capability? Really?

"Jerry don't surf!!" I love it!

Mods, I've got an armor kit that I'm trying to sell to a good home, but I don't know if my ad is getting the best targeted exposure just being in the Buy and Sell forum. Would it be out of line for me to make a post about it in the Non-Aircraft Modeling forum? Much appreciated! -Brady

Howdy, I recently bought AFV Club's lovely Stryker MGS and about a dozen Tamiya figures (all in 1/35) and got partway into the project before I realized that I just didn't have the time to finish it. So, I figure why not offer it up to someone here who I know will enjoy it. I'm asking for $50 + the cost of shipping for the whole lot. The Stryker was about $75 new, and there's probably another $30-40 worth of sets included here. PM me if you're interested and I'd be happy to discuss it more. Cheers! -Brady

Yes. Via PM, and in the appropriate forum. Don't worry, it's all in good fun.

All of the above.

Now now Awan, no need to get all agitated. I'll keep an eye out if I see anything that might help. FWIW - I think that FedEx 777 Freighter is one of the prettiest airliners I've ever seen.

By George! How could I have missed that? Thanks MoFo! edit: The only tricky part now is - How would I go about getting one?
