  1. Lovely build. You don't see many of these built. Might have to drag mine out of the pile! regards Andrew
  2. Good to see a Falklands's era Sea Harrier. Echo some of the points made already. You seemed to have used the GR.1/GR.3 type canopy. If I remember correctly the kit comes with both Sea Harrier and Harrier AV.8A/GR.1/GR.3 canopies - shouldn't be hard to replace. regards Andrew
  3. Hi, All Royal Air Force Germany operated aircraft ( Fixed-wing and helicopter) had, by German law, to display dual German/English stencils. This included all 'rescue' (Rescue arrows, Ejection seat triangles etc) related stencils. 'No Push' and 'No Step' instructions were also in both languages. regards Andrew
  4. Here are a few shots of the Revell/Monogram F-4C/D. The kit was re-scribed and detailed with the aid of Aires (seats), Microscale and Afterburner decals. The aircraft depicted is one which was detached to Ramstein (Creek Klaxon) in 1986 (see patches). The weapons fit is 4 x AIM 9P, AIM 7 and SUU-23A gun on the centre line. I made this about a year ago and have since added 'bungees to the AIM 9 protective caps and an Oregon ANG marking to the gun pod. regards Andrew
  5. Drewe, Is this photo of any use ? Andrew
  6. Another Monogram 1/72 scale kit. Again, like the previous Monogram F-4D, this kit was rescribed as well as being modified with the use of the Airwaves enlarged Thunderstick spine. The decals came from various sources. Andrew
  7. This is the Monogram 1/72 F-4D. Apart from the fact that I rescribed it, the kit went together without too many dramas. The Monogram kit is in many ways equal, if not superior to the Hasegawa kit ie. separate airbrakes, better cockpit (although I did add Aeroclub seats) as well providing the modeller with AIM 9B, Sparrow and a SUU 23 gun pod. To round up the stores provided are two ECM pods (ALQ 87 and ALQ 101). I used Xtra-acrylic Paint and a Halfords Matt Black spray can for the undersurface colour. I used Paynes grey to weather the aircraft. The decals came from various sources. This inclu
  8. Sorry, that should have been addressed at Spike. That's what happens when you try to be a know all !
  9. This is my first posting here and as such, I was a little reluctant to point out an error. Sorry Merv, the 'red tail' FGR 2 is a 92 squadron machine. As you have already pointed out in an earlier post regarding RAFG Tonkas, a number of Wildenrath F4's were also painted with red, black and blue tails. This was an attempt to make them more conspicuous at low level. This experiment came about following a spate of air to air crashes at low level during the late 80s.
