  1. Not really references, but here's a build report that might help (there are a few reference links in the thread): http://www.swannysmodels.com/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1274750631/0
  2. There are enlarging casting resins: http://blog.makezine.com/2012/01/25/expanding-casting-resiin/
  3. Another punch set option: http://www.harborfreight.com/9-piece-punch-and-die-set-95547.html Looks similar to the True Punch set (I'll bet the True Punch is better quality). I have this Harbor Freight set, and use it to punch clear plastic circles as backing for scratchbuilding jet fans so I can see my circle markings as I add the fan blades, and it works fine for that. Hope this helps, Bruce
  4. The Sanger kit is vacform with metal detail parts: http://www.sangereng.fsnet.co.uk/beechcraft_starship_2.htm http://www.sangereng.fsnet.co.uk/beechcraft_starship_1.htm There is also an Execuform kit: http://www.donsmodelworks.com/emprods/images/em017.jpg I have the Sanger kit partially done. It's a fairly middle-of-the-road vac kit. Soft details, will take some work to build up, but I think it it can be done nicely. No idea how good the Execuform kit is. It has a very different layout from the Sanger kit. The Sanger kit has 4 separate pieces for the wings, while the Execuform kit
  5. Canada Post on strike? Then locked out? Won't somebody think of the dead bears, please?
  6. I have this set: http://www.harborfreight.com/9-piece-punch-and-die-set-95547.html and it's pretty nice for sizes in-between the compass cutter and the Waldron sets I have (not sure how it compares to the MicroMark set). Bruce
  7. Well, I'd take an E-4B conversion kit now as well. Hannants had a stock error and cancelled my order - looks like they might not have found the kits after all, or found fewer than three. No worries - I'll hope for a conversion kit. Bruce
  8. I'd buy one. Well, not the E-4B since I've got one on the way. But certainly the VC-25. Bruce
  9. Great news! I've been hoping for the 747 kits to come out soon so I can make an order for them and the new etched brass kits. Bruce
  10. Well, there's two now since I just snagged one. Looking forward to it - I didn't think I'd ever get one when they went out of production a few years ago. Any idea when the 747-300 and 747-400 kits will be re-released? I also want to say thanks for making both these large airliner kits available as well as the small brass historic wings kits! Bruce

  12. I'm in Seattle, Washington and I just got my order - its status hadn't changed since December 1st as well. Bruce
  13. Nice - looking forward to those kits. It's great you're producing these - I get to add some really interesting early pioneers to my collection. Thanks, Bruce
  14. I'm doing a what-if (what else could it be) with Revell's Advanced Technology Bomber. Finally got around to painting the wheels on the kit I got off EBay, and son-of-a-gun if one of the main landing gear wheels isn't missing. It's the same landing gear as on their 1/72 B-1, so I could use a wheel from either kit. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Bruce
