  5. My wife thinks im "obsessed" with Starfighters ( i probably am <_<) , and i only have 3 in my stash ( another on the way from Ebay ). Also 3 Crusaders. Crikey, i wonder what she would call me if i had the numbers some of you are hoarding!! Unimaginable!

  7. F-8 Crusader in Action (Squadron publications) off Ebay.
  8. Skii,by the way, what do you thin the paint and clean your airbrush for vallejo Air? I read you can use water for both, but what about IPA? Are they truly water-based, and are they the only water based acrylics you can clean solely with water?
  9. Thanks for the replies chaps. As a matter of interest which online store is most reliable and delivers the fastest out of the ones listed above i.e Hannants, WonderlandModels, Netmerchants? Im thinking of buying some Xtracrylics online.
  10. No worries, got it to work fine now. Took off the spring round the end, and used a pliers to adjust the end coil to make it smaller to fit into the paint tins. Just had a wiz at it and it mixes the paint fine Thanks for confirming that it can work ;)
  11. I have almost exactly same model with round jobby on the end but 1. The end is too big to fit into my Humbrol paint tins ;) 2. I find it spins too fast and hence sprays all over the place is there any way to slow down the rotation speed on that thing?
  12. Eye-catching camo work there Ian. Alltogether very crisp looking shark! Congrats <_<
  13. Hi For a number of reasons, mainly health and drying time related i've been thinking of switching to acrylics. :) I do 1/48 jets post WW2 50's to early 80's, what i want is a range that i don't have to mix to get the colours like US Light Gull Grey, White, Silver, etc, dry quickly, easy to clean, don't lift off plastic when handled. Pollyscale is out as it isnt available here, so im left with Tamiya, Gunze and Vallejo Air and Xtracrylics. Any advice, comments, considerations appreciated. tx Kevin
  14. Whats the equivalent in the UK? I'd like to get hold of some.

  16. Hold on i thought the idea was to change one letter from the previous word, not more?
  17. I've been using Revell 301 but havent been impressed with its flat pebby finish. Its meant to be satin but looks more flat to me. Anyone else had this experience?
  18. Some serious scratchbuilding taken place with that baby! Very cool
  19. Great for Tamiya or Hase kits but they don't have any of the other major manufacturers models listed like Revell, Monogram,Italeri,Academy, etc. Pity....
