David Just a thought, yours seems to be behaving like mine did a while back. No spray unless i really turned the needle way back to open, and often unevenly, sputtering and stopping and starting. When you sprayed thinners through it you could easily see the spray pattern was off centre biased to one side. Check the nozzle to see if its damaged at all - mine had a tiny hairline crack (barely visible except when viewed under a magnifier glass) in the opening and having replaced it it's spraying fine again!

Hey only 1 list added so far ;) Surely there must be other 1/48 fanatics out there who can add to the list. What about the F-8, F-104, B-58, S-3, P-80, F-105, F-102+6 just to name a few. And lets not forget the WW2 a/c for the prop lovers B)

Just wondering if these latest accidents are more due to a/c failure of some sort or pilot errors? 3 incidents with F-16's isnt a very good record for the Dutch is it :/

Absolutely stunning work with the cockpit and engine detail. I thought how difficult it was to tell the photos from a real aircraft! Superb work Pieter, i can only dream of that sort of quality :blink:

Hi folks I thought it would be nice if we could also start a thread similiar to here where we list the best kit and manufacturer for all 48 scale a/c. The kits can be OOP too, and i realise "best" is subjective when it comes to deciding based on fit, detail, panel lines, etc but at least this will be a good starting point for those that are deciding on buying or building a particular model and want to know the best options available. Well as im pretty new to modelling, i wont pretend to be an expert and add any names, but just thought id kick this off. If you could list the aircraft ( + kit

I bought my cellulose lacquer thinner at my LHS. Don't use ISA as i dont use acrylics.

Reviving this thread from the dead...:) I have 2 a/b's, both Badger - a single action siphon feed 200 NH with medium needle and a dual action 100XF with fine needle.

Seeing as im a 1/48 fanatic :)...Would be nice if we can start a thread for best kits in 48th scale too. What'ya guys think?

Abso-f**-lutely have to agree with you there!! That detail is ridiculously amazing. When i see models painted to this finesse i realise how far i have to go to even achieve anything like that :D

Understood, but what would the metal colour be they refer to in the painting instructions? Silver , aluminium?

Hi The exhaust on my F-8 should be in burnished metal. How do i create this colour i.e what paint colour mixtures can i use? I use Humbrol enamels by the way. thanks
