Not true. Tamiya thins beautifully with IPA( rubbing alcohol ) which can be bought in bulk v cheaply.

I have both, the Mono kit looks awful, cheap brown plastic, flash. Haven't built either, but i'd stay away from the Mono IMO.

Yip, my experience with him was similiar, cept i posted a bad trader post about his delay tactics, which got him responding aggressively. No apologies either about his 3 weeks delay, just excsues. He refunded my money, but personally he's a dead ringer in my books. Waste of time alright.

For its age (25 yrs + ) the Mono kit is super IMO. Raised and recessed panels, but the detail in the pit and wheel wells is better than a lot of modern kits. Get yourself some a/m decals. For $10 on Fleabay you can't go wrong.
