  2. Mark, This Depth of Field calculator should simplify things for you. HTH, Ian
  3. The Supermarine 1/1 scale kit pictured above. It's a very old moulding first released in the 1930's. Basic shape is very accurate but the painting instructions, usually printed in black and white, leave a lot to be desired and are now the cause of endless debate. HTH, Ian
  4. 611 & ventura, Did you remove the tabs at the front of the bomb bay roof (part A13 in the FBVI kit)? If not they are probably the cause of your alignment problems as they push the fuselage apart. When these tabs are removed the cockpit/bomb bay parts and the fuselage are a "click fit" in my experience. HTH, Ian
  5. John, It's been a privilege to watch this being built. You have produced a masterpiece!! Ian

  7. flanker76, Here's a "How To" for a 1/48 Su-27 Braking Chute How To Linky HTH, Ian
  8. TuveB, The IP decals are not botched up - the black discs are the BACK layer of the dial decals. The front of the decal (with the dial face printing) is printed on a layer underneath the black so that when you apply the decal to the rear of the clear IP parts the dial face printing becomes visible. HTH, Ian
  9. Aaron, They overlap the join between the upper and lower halves to provide location tabs and strengthen the join. They should be positioned so that they are not visible through the wing sweep slot (if they were the wing would not fit). HTH, Ian
  10. Aaron, They are internal tabs which span the horizontal and vertical join of the upper and lower fuselage halves. HTH, Ian
  11. Hoops, If I qualify as "anybody else" ;) , here's a link to the a/c you're modelling in the scheme you want - abpic linky You can see from this photo that the flaps and u/c doors are blue. You will need white underwing serials. HTH, Ian
  12. Hoops, A search on Airliners.net for XX342 returned these results amongst which is this photo of the undersides confirming that the lower fuselage and lower inner wing are indeed blue. HTH, Ian
  13. Mark, AFAIK (and can see) there are no vortex generators on the Typhoon wing. Have you got a photo to illustrate your question? Ian
  14. Leo, Warpaint No.36 - Handley Page Victor has a full set of plans in 1/72 by Ian Huntley. HTH, Ian
