  1. Happy New Year! Have you ever wondered how people took pictures of their models with a seamless single-color background? 8. The Mohawk is not a glamorous aircraft by any stretch of the imagination. I got it as a starting point for a German WW2 asymmetrical fighter similar to the BV-141. And soon after I got the Mohawk kit, guess what Hobbyboss release… So, the Mohawk was a “Stash Queen” for a few years. After the huge Scooter diorama, I told myself the next project will be simpler. Project Mohawk like all my builds will be a “What-if”. Not sure what nationality it’s going to be, but it will be a target decoy launch aircraft. The only major changes I’m going to do to the airframe is new props and spinner, which are

  11. Years ago, I started a “Family model” (two-seater) Scooter project. Got halfway through it then life showed up. And not in a good way. Lost my job, apartment and had to move out of state. Along with my passion to build eroded to nothing. Fortunately, after some time things changed for the better and it was time to get back to my scooter build. And like my life, my build idea changed too. It was going to be based on a theoretical Royal Australia Air Force Scheme from Richard Chafer, but now she will be flying for the Hellenic Air Force. And because I enjoy building in pairs, I added another sco

  14. The fact is there’s not a quick and easy way (that produces good results) to properly photograph scale models. You need a basic understanding of the relationship between aperture and depth of field. Without that understanding, it’s kind of a waste of time. The key is having a aperture small enough(that’s right, small) that your depth of field will cover the model from nose to tail. Which means longer shutter speeds. Hence that’s why you need a tripod to keep the camera still during the long exposure. You can read more here, https://anadventureinawesome.com/2021/01/24/photographing-scale-models
  15. Amazing work Honza! Have you consider doing any modern flight line equipment? Like fire extinguishers, jack stands, or even weapon carts? Stay safe and keep busy, Steven
  16. With 2021 coming to a close, I can look back at my builds I finished this year and still be excited about them. All are 1/48 scale and are “What-If” builds. First off the work bench was my Republic of China Air Force Forward-swept wing IDF F-CK-1C. She is by far (Pun intended) the sexiest aircraft I’ve built this year. Kit is AFV Club IDF F-CK-1C. She was followed by my USAF camo Mudhen. This was a product of two inspiring images. The build was straight forward other than the big fool missile. Which was mastered from a writing pen and a piece of styrene tube. Kit is Re
  17. Thanks Mr. Happy Much appreciated Janissary To be honest, I was too lazy to try to replicate the Have Glass scheme and have it "look" right in scale. But I took the opportunity to play with a weathered Naval scheme. Yeah, I feel this idea is more a "When-If" then a "What-if" Thanks again guys, Steven
  18. To solve US Navy‘s Super Hornet/tanker problem, Lockheed Martin offered a new purpose-built F-35 to fill the role of carrier-based tanker. The new F-35s are dubbed E’s and doesn’t have weapon bays nor have the targeting sensor below the nose. Along with stealthy metallic paint was not applied. In January of 2022, the first batch of E’s reached the Fleet. Each F-35 squadron was assigned 4 aircraft. My F-35E represents one from VFA-31 “Tomcatters” while onboard the U.S.S. Abraham Lincoln, callsign “Douche Nozzle One-One”. To see more of her along with a list of things I
