  2. Julien, Here is another gentlemen I've emailed a while back. He has all kinds of information that would be of help to you. He's an avid model builder too. Nice guy. Dancing Rotors (Bozo)
  3. Julien, If you're refering to BOZO, Ben has those pictures. I lost the one picture he emailed me with Bozo rolling the barral. That guy was goooood! I think with your project, he would be happy to help you out. You had better post pictures!! :D Cheers, John
  4. Yeap, that's the ship in Kansas. When I had emailed this and the info to Ben, he was so thrilled. (As you could imagine.) He did later go down to visit and was reunited. The other Silver Eagle ship I found is still flying for a Law Enforcement outfit. Yes, I failed to mention the decals were 1/48. I do recall they did have a 1/32 available also. (#32-11?) I think I have a color scan of that decal a gentleman sent me a couple years ago. Never got around to duplicate the artwork and have a set printed for myself. I would like to do a Silver Eagle myself. The pictures and PR photos w
  5. Hi Julian, Sorry, I've been away for some time. Regarding the SIlver Eagles. Go here. www.eaglelead.com HERE's EAGLELEAD HERE SHE IS TODAY. http://us.airliners.net/photos/middle/4/5/2/0268254.jpg I was lucky as a kid to see these guys in action. Impressive and good memories. A couple years ago I learned one of the pilots was from near my hometown. Ben, (Eaglelead), is a real nice guy. I actually helped locate two of the OH-6As for him. The one which was his bird (#1 Eaglelead) he flew. He'll be more than happy to help ya. Feel free to drop him an email. Years ago, (80's) Mic

  7. THAT'S 1/48th!!! I thought for sure it was 1/32. SWEEEEEET!!!!!!!! I sure miss our long retired 316th Medical Detachment. There's nothing like the sound of a Huey. Cheers John
  8. Hey Stranger! True. This being my first EC-135. I had a lot of problems with the blades and rotor head which incured some breaks. I did try to bend the blades for static display, but the bend wouldn't hold. The next 135 builds I will be more forwarned and prepared. You should see the new Med Flight 7/Healthnet 350 Astar. It's a joint venture between Med Flight (Ohio) and HealthNet (West Virginia). One side of the helicopter is painted in the Med Flight Green scheme and the other side is painted in the blue-white-gold, HealthNet scheme. Check it out HERE. By the way, STAT Medevac ha
  9. I think you would have made Igor very proud. Fine job! Bravo! A nice capture to aviation history! What size clear sheet did you use? I've been trying to find 10X12 clear sheet size for my unit. No luck. Cheers, John
  10. Hey guys! Thanks for the kind words. The paints used were the standard Testors for the exterior body, base gold and metallic green. Found at your local Drug Mart or Micheals. Well, at least that's were I can find it. Everything was either can/bottle standard Testors or Testors Model Master. Not much variety in my area any more. A lot of the old hobby shops have died off. Every once in a great while I manage to swing over to the E. side and find a couple of the bigger hobby shops I grew up with that are still around. Like I said. I've been away for about 14 years. I've missed it! M
  11. Thanks guys! Did you ever get to see Med Flight 5? Just need to fix the tail and N-number. Cheers,
  12. (As posted @ Finescale) Hey Gang! Finally, some decal and colors!. O.k, o.k., so you notice there's no N#. I gotta have a reprint done on my next batch of decals. I missed scaled it. (too small) . -Decals are all custom designed by me and printed by Fireball. -The wire strikes were all fabed from styrene sheet and round stock. -Antenna from styrene rod. -Vertical stablizers from styrene sheet -Bottom of Fenestron tail from 10# balsa core. -External Oxygens were made from 10# balsa core, patched w/ Squdron putty & sealed w/ brush on CA. Lock-Tite brand. Future external oxygens
  13. LOL! No problem. I have my stored in my yahoo gallery now too. Well, if anyone ever needs help, they know they can contact either of us. Cheers
  14. Woo-hoo! Waiting sometimes is well worth the wait. I just picked up a Bell 222 of $13, out the door! Boo-yah!!!
  15. Julian, Lovely family of legendary Huey UH-1s! I just recently found out that old 71-53 (Hamburg) is out and replaced with Christoph, an orange UH-1N. There's nothing like the sound of a Huey. I miss our old 316th Medical Detachment. More pics please! Cheers
  16. It's a good question. Just hard to say one kit. Back in the 80's, I loved these kits. I thought they were the best. Well, to me, I enjoyed them. ESCI 1/48 UH-1D BO-105 206 Heller 1/48 360C/365C Dauphin 350 Astar 341 Gazelle 315B Lama AMT/ERTL 1/48 Airwolf/222B Hasagawa 1/48 500-Ds Revell 1/32 BO-105 206 UH-1D OH-6A/ 500C EC-135 Revell 1/48 CH-53 Cheers
  17. Here's his other 412. 1/32 412 I second that! Or, get me a master and I'm make the molds. John
  18. Hi! I did manage to get a copy, thanks for asking! That was very thoughtful. Now to try and get a 222 kit without being gouged. I just missed a 222 CHP I could have won for a reasonable price. Wasn't able to watch it on ebay and got beat by 0.15; Just my luck. Dowh! All the other oportunites I thought I had to get a 222 I ended up getting a bunch of talk and nobody willing to stand behind there word. No surprise there. Thanks again. Hope to see some pics of your builds! Cheers, John
  19. That's the second one he's done. The last one he converted a Revell 1/32 Huey to a 412. I love his work! He's got it going on. Cheers
  20. Jure, Yah, taking one day at a time. Thanks! Yah, not sure why they stopped making the 1/32 206. I had always hoped they would do a 1/32 206L but would actually would rather see a 1/32 407. Here in the U.S. their were lots of the kits to be found. I wish I had pictures of the Testors ones I did. They had a civilian line with three different colored decals schemes. I gotta find a picture on the web of one. The box had a blue 206 with a red colored line design on the rear fuslage. They had a red, black and white decal options. I did a black base w/ red, a silver base w/ black and a b
  21. Julian, Very nice Hueys! I happen to know one of the SAR guys who flies with the SAR Huey 71-53. That's some nice detailing to the CDF. Impressive! Cheers, John
  22. You lucky guy! Boy, do I remember the old IMC kits from the 70's. There were several different packaged version of the same kit. I love that kit! I built many of them in my day. None of them survived over the years though. The tooling went through Revell, Testors (They had two different kits that I recall) and I think it was Fujimi for a while back in the late 80's-early 90's? It's the best 206 kit on the market. In 1/48, I have to say it's ESCI hands down. I sure miss their kits from the 80's. Enjoy! Better post some pics of the build. I haven't done a things since we last talked.
  23. I can speak for the hasagawa kit which academy is doing now. The hasagawa 500 ASW had tinted windows and the 500 MD tow did. The CHP did not. Great kits! I had them years ago. Hope this helped some. John
  24. Well, here they are. The latest pics. The UH Medevac BK's in white. Medlfight EC & BK. Workbench
  25. Hi Matt, Well, it's about three years of hunting for BK's. I had to convert the 117M to EMS. All individualy. FYI. A 1/32 civilian VIP version is due out some time this summer to fall by Revell. You will need to convert the VIP to EMS. Thanks for the kind words! John
