  2. Hey Todd, Hows the 412 coming along? I see you guys have some nice detailed drawings to work with on your 412. Any new photos? Sebastiano, I love your technique for making the dog house. Very nice! I sure which I could get some detailed drawings of the S-76 to scratch build one. Cheers John
  3. I JUST GOT A KICK BUT TECHNIQUE FROM TIM BRADLEY - THE DECAL GUY. PUT A CUP OF WATER IN THE MICROWAVE AND BRING IT TO A BOIL. (HANDLE WITH CARE). TAKE A Q-TIP, DIP IT IN THE HOT WATER AND THEN STRAIGHT DOWN ONTO THE DECAL. HOLD FOR A FEW SECONDS AND LIFT STRAIGHT UP. IT ZIPS ITSELF AROUND ANY SURFICE AND WORKS LIKE MAGIC. IT DOES NOT HARM THE DECAL AT ALL. THAT'S WHAT I FINALLY HAD TO DO TO RESOLVE MY ISSE FROM THIS POST. THANK YOU TIM!!!!
  4. I've never heard of using future as a setting solution. Decal base and sealer yes; setting solution no. I totaly forgot about the white viniger thing. Will give a tiny poke to the pockets. Thanks for the help! John
  5. Topic on decal silvering problem here.
  6. I'm doing a custom build of a 1/32 EC-135 medevac helicopter with custom decals. I use Future before the decal then the Microscale Microset and Microsol decal solutions. I have 90-95% of the decal setting correctly but I still have some issue were it is not contouring correctly over the raised areas. (bridged air pocketing) It's the hinged and riveted area of the rear clamshell door on the left side. It has more detail than the right side. (hinges, raised seam and rivits.) I still am doing several applications of the Microsol and it does seem to help a little more each time, but just not
  7. I can help you out. I have a set of the decals minus the control panel you are welcome to have. I also have the instructions you are welcome to have. Drop me an email at johneagle777@yahoo.com I'll take a look and see what else I have left from the ASW kit. John
  8. Hey Gang, I know that majority of airbrush modelers use glass bottles. However. I am familiar in some industrial applications were PETE plastic bottles are used with industrial enamels. (I know Acrylics are o.k. for plastic bottles.) Curious if anyone is using plastic bottles w/ enamels and having good success with them? I have a wholesale source for obtaining bottles but obviously I can get a real nice deal on PETE plastic bottles. Yes, I'm still new at airbrushing. Just curious. TIA John

  13. Not only issues with the tail rotor authority, but the high and hot lift cap with the main rotor blades. That's one reason EC was testing a 5-bladed rotor head. There were many unhappy high alt services with the 145. REGA & Gendarmerie to name a couple. REGA preferrs the Agusta 109s and the pilots of the Gendarmerie miss and wanted their old Alouette III's. I know our local Life Flight program just got 4 new EC-145's and they have been nothing but issues. One pilot told me he preferred the BK-117 and another said it's a far cry from the previous S-76s. They want there S-76s back.
  14. Check this baby out. I think a new 1/32 model in the future will be possible. I like it!!! John

  17. Before you inform me, I am aware that the 1/24th Hobbycraft 500 MD Defender was a nighmare kit. What I am looking for is if anyone happens to have the armorment left over they didn't use. I just want the armorment. TIA John
  18. O.k. I'm trying to find some info on adding LED lights to a display model. I'm familiar with some of the LED kits but I'm trying to find info to display model use. I can only seem to find RC stuff. I'm trying to find "how to". Anyone having any info? Thanks John
  19. Why we're wishing. Why not throw in there an oldie but a goodie in 1/32 or 1/35th scale? An AS 316/319 Alouette III. That would be a Boo-yaa!
