  1. Incoming mail is apparently less affected - eg., today I received an exchange decal sheet from Germany which was sent on Tuesday, which was the day after I'd sent a sheet that's not arrived there yet...
  2. A 'heads-up' for anyone who has ordered or is expecting anything that's being or has been posted from the UK this week - Royal Mail has been hit by a cyber/ransomware attack which has severly disrupted outgoing international mail services: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-64231473 https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-64244121
  3. I've got the kit decal sheet from the original Airfix Canberra: https://www.scalemates.com/kits/airfix-05012-8-bac-canberra--145389# It's a 'late issue' example - so they're glossy finish, no yellowing...
  4. I must admit great surprise that the Aeroclub props appear to have been wrongly designated - I had the pleasure of often meeting and talking with John Adams back in Aeroclub's heyday, and know he was meticulous in his research and attention to detail. I've looked at an old late 90's Hannants catalogue, and P094 is listed there as 'Hamilton Standard' - whilst further evidence to the contrary points to the square tips indeed being the Curtiss Electric type:
  5. A pdf version is available free here: https://turbobit.net/i1qeb6t2us30.html - takes 5-6 minutes on 'slow' download, depending on your connection.
  6. Here in the UK we've a couple of builder/electrician/plumber etc trade supply stores - Screwfix and Toolstation - I bought a 20g 'own label' bottle of cyano from Screwfix at least two years ago, and don't do anything special with it, just use a 20G hypodermic needle to 'unclog' the nozzle's tip before each use... ....prior to that, I used to do the same as @ElectroSoldier and buy five-packs of small tubes for a quid, but some would harden in the tube even before being opened - this bottle only cost two Pounds, has easily outlasted any cyano bottles or tubes that I've ever previously bough
  7. In similar fashion, here in the UK two of our three services' aviation museums are located within the boundaries, but at the edges, of their associated airfields - both have easy access from public roads running alongside them: At RNAS Yeovilton, some of the station's facilities are north of the B3151 public road, simply fenced-off with gated access - not an uncommon feature... In both instances, the museum areas are separated from the immediately-adjacent active airfields by simple fences, with great views of the active areas. Looking at NAS Pensacola, the mos
  8. That photo first appeared a year ago: Later report here: https://theaviationist.com/2022/03/18/weak-landing-gear-springs-caused-the-b-2-spirit-to-skid-off-runway-at-whiteman-afb-in-september/
  9. In 1/72, Italeri and Trumpeter both did a couple of versions, including the ACH-47A gunship... .....the various releases can be seen here - as you'll see, they were re-issued by different brands: https://www.scalemates.com/kits/italeri-054-ach-47a-chinook-gunship--114011/timeline
  10. Negative - the Echo models had a larger (20ft) tail rotor than all the preceding models (16ft)... ....and not only is it too large in diameter, but the Reskit one also depicts the later composite type... ....the smaller version had metal blades with square-cut roots and tips, as did the original 20ft E one.
  11. OP hasn't logged in for 12-and-a-half years...
  12. Another great trade with @Dutch - on realising I had a set of decals sought in one of his 'looking for' posts, his Scalemates 'sale' list revealed he also had some that I wanted... ....the same day that I made the suggestion of a potential trade, they were in the mail and on their way - now safely received!
  13. @KursadA hasn't yet released the 1/72 versions of his two H-53 sheets - he's already incorporating something which I made him aware of into the Navy/Marine one, along with an option that there wasn't room for in 1/48; maybe, if the scaling-down work's not yet completed on the Air Force one, he might be persuaded to add this option for 14433, but just one photo showing only one side probably isn't enough - apart from the nose area, there's no reference for the camouflage pattern for the starboard side apart from a brief moment of extremely dark footage in the video...
  14. Ta-da! Found in a thread at Britmodeller - a photo of a photo in a Koku Fan magazine:
  15. Well, if we're talking videos, the beginning and end of this one features 14433 at Kirtland AFB - "a unique, one-of-a-kind helicopter" with a '"special paint job":
  16. If you look again at the HH-53Hs, you'll notice that they all have that 'box' underneath - it was retained on the subsequent MH-53H, but removed from the J. Couple of MH-53H shots showing it:
  17. 66-14433 was designated YHH-53H when it became the first Pave Low conversion; I've only ever seen three shots of it in the 'Black Knight' finish - the one you posted previously, a similar shot taken after conversion, and this one: Wolfpak Decals included 14433 on sheet 72-12 - however, what should have been the 'Black Knight' logo was instead represented by a numeral '1', and only one was supplied anyway, when it was carried on both sides; the prominent aircraft data block was also not provided:
  18. I actually posted a few HH-53H photos - including your middle one above - in @KursadA's thread, a couple of which feature the early tanks: http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index.php?/topic/319307-cd48206-148-usaf-hh-53mh-53/page/2/&tab=comments#comment-3063028 There's also this frontal aspect of your top pic's line-up: The original eight HH-53H conversions were: 69-5790, 69-5791, 73-1647, 73-1648. 73-1649, 73-1650, 73-1651, 73-1652 - two CH-53C airframes were later converted as attrition replacements. Immediate identifying features of the HH-53H are the
  19. Curt - I can confirm that is the legitimate contact phone number for Hornby/Airfix... ....based on what I paid last week ago to send some decals to @Dutch in a flat envelope, GBP 7.00 is probably about right for 'Small Packet' P&P... ....considering the overall total cost - including the price of an international phone call - for one part, personally I'd go for one of the options suggested in your previous 'Addressing Destroyed Clear Part?' thread!
  20. Last few pictures here? https://www.aircraftresourcecenter.com/Rev6/5701-5800/rev5778-Aires-4565/00.shtm
  21. I just did a reverse image search using that initial image, Gwen - the earliest result which stemmed from that was a Youtube 'unboxing' type video from three years ago: https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=CKmUIy1cEiA An exact match for the pic came up on an Argentinian site, which appears to have a full range in stock: https://articulo.mercadolibre.com.ar/MLA-906688064-pinturas-mr-color-gunze-sangyo-a-eleccion-_JM A Californian-based store also appears to have them available: https://r4lus.com/collections/mr-color The same type of lids also showed up for a few Russia
