  2. Hello, Some of you may know us from the resin A320 sharklets and the Air New Zealand A320 decal sheet that we released in May. For us, these were two pilot products to see if you would like it... and you did, as we sold all of it! Now, we're very proud to announce two new decal sheets, both in the exciting livery of Azerbaijan Airlines. You can order them by e-mailing us at attachbeforeflight@gmail.com and make sure to clearly state which sheet(s) you want. We use PayPal. Please note that we won't be able to ship any sheets between 3 and 15 January. :) Greets, Jelle (The Nethe
  3. Did you know about the new Star Wars film or did you miss that as well?
  4. I have plans of slapping an Airfix nose on the Revell kit. I believe that makes a fairly good base for a nice DC-10! The Revell nose looks just weird, the nose is far too rounded and the cockpit windows are too low. There should be a more obvious step between the cockpit windows and the radome which is missing completely on the kit.
  5. The banner of that website still creeps me out a bit, I really don't know what to think of that. Beautiful products though.
  6. 60 deaths already and we still have the 100 people held hostage in a theater. Terrible and very frightening.
  7. It's a project by Jon Ochoa from (I believe) Mexico, correct me if I'm wrong. I've never ordered from him but he's a good guy for sure!
  8. It's a scam, and a very weird one. He delivers only very few of his orders and many people lost their money if it wasn't for PayPal's policy. There are quite a few topics about this on Airlinercafe.com. It's a shame really, as he has a lot of interesting sheets. Order your decals elsewhere.
  9. Cool! The Piper Cub is one of my favourite aircraft and I think it's great fun owning one, especially in these original colours. Any pictures?
  10. Would this GB be open for civilian subjects as well, just as in the Africa GB? If yes: count me in!
  11. I use X7 as well, bought a cheap license for educational purposes through my dad who's a teacher. I didn't want to use illegal software for my small decal company but didn't want to pay +300 euros for it either.. But any earlier version will do for most decal designing purposes. I converted it to PDF and sent it to Fireball. Just make sure you use his template as found on the website.
  12. I've used http://www.fireballmodels.info/ recently and I'm really happy with the results. I submitted a vector based file, done in CorelDRAW. I think the price is very fair. Keep in mind that the ALPS printer he used works best on pure CMYK colours, mixed colours such as orange will have very visible dithering, which is also visible on the swans on my custom sheet. Once you know what's possible (white decals!!) and what isn't (gradient colours, photorealistic windows etc.), and when you learned to draw vector based in Illustrator or Corel a new world will open for you!
  13. I didn't :) The flying Belgian 'Streetstream' came up with that idea. Nothing hanging from my mirror though, the screen's already as small as a stamp http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index.php?showtopic=285417 greets Jelle
  14. I think the condition of the Belgian roads is a bigger concern for your mirror decoration :P
  15. The previous owner (who was very honest about it, and didn't really want to sell it actually..) said that it was one of the few sunroofs on just about any car type that didn't leak. However, water will come through the windshield sealing and hot air blower when it's raining :P/> It has an aftermarket radio, maybe I'll put a crate-like subwoofer in it later :rolleyes:/> But I want to keep it authentic as much as possible. It's not my favourite colour either, orange or green would be very cool! But a proper repaint will cost me too much for now. It doesn't use much, its empty weig
  16. So, after years of dreaming I finally bought my own car!! I've always liked the classics a lot more than most post-2000 vehicles on the roads today. They have more character to me and it's really fun driving. I really don't know how I got into these types of cars, as I was born in 1990 (my parents had a red Peugeot 205 back then :)) So, here it is! This Renault 4 looked pretty OK on the chassis, a lot of these driving around in the more rainy parts of Europe have been affected by very nasty corrosion. This car doesn't look new either (a few rusty spots need to be taken care of), but it
  17. I think Revell 50 is a pretty close match, mixed with a little white!
  18. Let me fix this: both the 787 and A350 are beautiful machines, each in their own way :)
  19. Hello, Together with fellow airliner modeler Arjan we decided to put up a small line of airliner modeling parts and decals. Some of you already bought a set of our resin A320 series sharklets. Now our first decal sheet is available! We got them screen printed at BOA Bodocek Agency in the Czech Republic. We chose them because their printing quality is excellent; very nice and thin decals that form well around curves and panel lines. The price is €12,- per sheet (plus shipping 3,45 worldwide) We do have some more of our resin sharklets available for €2,50 (normally €4) in combination wi
  20. Hey Niki, if you decide to do the Tend Air livery, let me know. I might be able to help you design the decals; I've been practising with vector based drawing last months and discovered it's pretty useful to do custom liveries!
  21. www.contrailsmodels.com does a few wifi domes but I'm not impressed with their product quality. But let's keep this thread just about Southwest 737's and the new decal sheet :)
