Always do a Google before ordering on a webshop you don't know. You'd better pull your money back from PayPal when it's still possible.

Arjan and I are busy doing the most common 737NG WiFi dome (Southwest uses it as well). We have to overcome some casting problems first so no release date yet.

Is there actually someone trying to solve this sh*t..? I still get it!

This is true when you want to use the solid grey windows but I always apply the transparent ones over the openings without problems. Yes, they shrink, but just a very little bit and almost not noticable. A few layers of clear coat (which is necessary anyway to protect all decals) toughens them up enough to stay that way. Some models have been sitting in my shelf for years and the windows still look good!

That's a matter of taste. You probably also got cabin window decals without the black parts on the sheet, they line up with the kit's openings. This only works when you paint the fuselage black or give it a good primer so the windows get a dark appearance. I always do this, I think it looks more vivid than flat window decals, especially on cockpit windows.

Looks like a livery Gaston @ Nazca could tackle :) if not, I might try it, but first I have to see how my first designed decal set turns out!

Cool!! I like that they kept the original music and laser gun sound

I don't know where you live but I always use DACO Airliner Wing Grey (which is not very available outside of Europe)

I've had it several times lately when following an ARC link posted somewhere else. The site I ended up in was about women, but definately not about their health

Hey guys, I have been busy designing some airliner decals lately using CorelDRAW. I'm going to have them printed at a print shop who has an ALPS printer but the best solution is doing it myself at home, as that makes on-demand printing possible. I know there are a few options: 1. regular printers, preferably laserjet, which has the big disadvantage of not being able to print white or opaque decals. 2. ALPS printers, which can be found second hand for reasonable prices sometimes (around $400). The big pro is: it can do metallic colours, but they are not being manufactured anymore. Am I cor

I decided to put several liveries on one sheet to enhance the chance of selling enough of them to cover the costs. This sheet will be for the Zippy Plane and the Camo Plane though you'd have to mask off the camouflage pattern on the Camo one which isn't unreasonable IMO. I've tested the zip pattern already on a DACO kit and it wraps perfectly around the fuselage shape! The design is completely vector based and I just hope things work out as well as I planned them to. I'm having contact with BOA Decals from the Czech Republic for printing them. I'll keep you posted.

I've had that exact same dream too many times!!

Hey guys. Sorry for bumping this topic; is anyone interested in a decal sheet for the Zippy Plane? http://cdn1.airplane-pictures.net/images/uploaded-images/2008/3/30/12596.jpg I'm currently working on it but it's quite an investment to actually print a batch at a good decal printer who is able to print white. I need to sell at least 10 sheets to cover the costs.

Hello Ray, I always thought it was just the nose cone that's wrong as it was a prototype cone, why did you decide to cast the whole nose?

New sharklets for A320 series!
TheFlyingDutchman replied to TheFlyingDutchman's topic in Airliner Modeling
Shipping would be €2,- regardless the location, however if you want 4 sets or more we'd have to use two matchboxes to make sure they can be packed safely which will push the weight of the envelope just above 20 gr, increasing the shipping costs to €3,50. Please make sure to e-mail us on time. We'll serve those in the same order as we received the mails, remember we're dealing with just a small batch and when it's gone it might take weeks to months until the next batch is ready. -
Hey, Together with a friend (Arjan) we started up a small airliner modeling business called Attach Before Flight. We weren't happy with some of the products being available at the moment and decided to make better masters ourselves! Our first product is a set of sharklets for the Airbus A319/320/321. The first batch was sold exclusively through the Aviation Megastore, our new batch is available directly through us. E-mail us at attachbeforeflight@gmail.com Price per set is €4,- plus shipping (regular mail, but packed in sturdy matchboxes). Be quick, when they're gone they're gone until w

Maybe some PropBlur PE propellers will look nice on them!!

I have had the same thing with a PAS resin kit... turned out I forgot to fill in my house number, resulting in a Sherlock Holmes-like investigation through my street, ending at a retired man living at #1. He unboxed it and thought it was a present from his former employer. I felt a bit sorry to take it back from him, but he didn't know what to do with it anyway. No, seriously, send PAS an e-mail. Something might went wrong.

Very scary accident. A plane shouldn't come down like that when an engine stops. The people on the car survived with minor injuries.

A 1/72nd C-17 Globemaster - the hard way.
TheFlyingDutchman replied to TommyP's topic in In-Progress Pics
Fantastic build, you make building vacforms look so easy! I have had an 72th scale 737-700 on my shelf for years now, and just can't bring myself to go on with the build as there are a lot of inaccuracies. Did you know that the C-17 shares the same cockpit window frames with the MD-11? (apart from the eyebrow windows). -
Air New Zuuland 787 "dreamliner"
TheFlyingDutchman replied to The Madhatter's topic in The Display Case
Well I wouldn't worry too much, it's a what-if anyway. And to be honest, I like it more with light grey wings! You got me very curious now! :) I can't find a single photo of a 737 in the newest livery. If only your eyes had a replay-mode -

I don't mean to be a know-it-all but ANZ does not fly 737's anymore and they never had 737-800's. Their short haul fleet consists of A320's only, but they are equipped with large 737-style winglets ('sharklets') which might have caused some confusion. Nevertheless- nice new photos. If you ever build another 787 in a non-fictional livery keep in mind that they all have white painted wings, not grey as on most airliners. -

Very nice model! I like the livery. The engines hang very close to the ground indeed, they did not end up this low on my model. Did you attach the pylons properly? (stupid question maybe). The 737 in the new livery that you saw must have been an A320. Here's mine: -
I might just have bad luck but all my orders at Nazca so far ended up getting delayed, I once had to wait five months until everything was complete. Also, the carrier film is very thick and remains visible on white coloured models. On the other hand: his detail decals look really good and he's a nice guy who always tries to help :)

Zvezda 1/144 Airbus A321. First 3D renders.
TheFlyingDutchman replied to VMMaster's topic in Airliner Modeling
They would have to modify the wing and flap moulds to correctly represent the A321's double slotted flap system. I think it would be very difficult to cast those properly.
